Title: Back Off
Setting: The Natural World
⇝ High School"You had the same dreams again?" Woojin questioned, annoyance etched on his face with every wrinkle in his brow.
"No...not the exact ones but like a continued storyline, like a drama." the artificial brunette beamed. Woojin's irritation slipped away momentarily as he watched the stars dance in her eyes and he stared at her lips as she smiled. "And I know exactly who it is now. I wasn't sure before but now, I'm positive it's Hyunjin."
And like a brick falling from a skyscraper and landing in your face, his irritation returned...
Woojin sighed as he pushed the doors open, "That name again? Jaeyeon, you saw him once yesterday. Why are you talking about him so much? And how would he be in your dreams?" The brunette exploded with questions.
"Calm down, Jini. I don't know how and I won't put myself in trouble to find out." She laid her books down at her seat as they sat down together.
"Okay. Just please keep safe. I don't have a good feeling about him." He attempts to have a heart to heart and a pinch of eye contact but the other teenager was too focused on her fairy dreamland to notice the boy's soft cry for attention. Some best friend she was.
As his head was about to fall into his hands and hide the tears forming in his eyes, his phone dinged with a message.
"Back off." Is all it read, and from an unknown number.
Woojin wasn't very superstitious and didn't care to think much about threats or fights for dominance. Hence, he did what anyone with those characteristics would've done, he deleted the message and forgot he ever received it. If anyone wanted Jaeyeon, come head on.
⇹⇹⇹Hyunjin stalked around the school campus during the lunch session. With every second, he recorded the different activities that he saw Jaeyeon do, in higher probability of tricking or misleading her.
Unfortunately for him, the only thing he's found so far is that Jaeyeon barely did anything but draw in that damn book. It would be hard to get her away without actually starting some type of relationship with her.
The boy escaped from his thoughts to see a large group of students around his age, approaching him. They huddled as a pack, as a unit, but still, a leader was distinct. It reminded him of the family of the underworld he'd become accustomed to. At the front, maintaining the peak, a guy, accessorized with sunglasses and a haircut that completely covered his eyebrows, spoke, his voice raspy, "Hyunjin, right? Changbin." He reached out hands for Hyunjin to accept.
He did.
"Yeh?" Confusion filled his voice.
"Welcome to the school. We've been watching you. Be one of us" Once again, he was reminded of the underworld and how he was recruited. It wasn't much of a question or a request.
And he'd take this as a sign of where he belonged.....at least for the duration of time he'd spend at this school.
"Yeh." He cracked a smile at the group, who returned the friendly gesture, contradicting the strict faces they held when the interaction began.
Changbin introduced the members of his little entourage. Which included: Jeongin, Yugyeom, Taeyoung, Jaehyun, Jackson , Seungcheol, Mingyu and Hanbin.
"So, now that we're all good, there's anything you need?" Seungkwan asked. They moved into the shade of a big tree and all made themselves comfortable.
