OK, I don't know what happened, but I think Wattpad deleted the part before this so this doesn't make any sense. Anyway, the guys and triss have gone to go find the ruins of Seto and Tristesa' s old home.
Triss' s necklace started to glow and Seto noticed, pulling her away drom the group. As I was led away from the group, the pendant on my necklace started to glow even more. It glowed brighter and brighter until, when we got to a clearing, it exploded in a ginormical explosion of light. I felt a huge wave of energy wash over me, and I felt my feet leave the ground. The light died down, and as it faded I noticed just how high up I was. Me being me, I panicked. The last of the light immediately vanished, and I watched the world come rushing up to meet me. I braced myself for the inevitable pain before death, but it never came! I opened my eyes, but I wasn't falling anymore- Seto had managed to catch me mid-fall. I noticed that his eyes weren't his normal chocolate brown- they were glowing bright purple. Before I could say anything, he flew us back to the ground , and promptly dumped me unceremoniously on the floor.
"Thanks," I told him, sarcastically. He just nodded in reply, but chuckled.
"You've got a lot to learn, Tristesa, but you're gonna have to learn a bit before we get back to the others in the clearing."
Over the next hour, my brother taught me how to do the basics of magic. Of course, he had to first convince me that I hadn't just imagined all of that, and that magic actually existed, but that's besides the point. He first taught me how to channel the raw energy and create a ball of magic, which, after a few tries (OK, a lot of tries), I could throw and hit a target with quite good accuracy. Then Seto taught me how to fly, which had a simple concept, but was extremely difficult to master. We took a break and walked slightly further away from the clearing until we found a large pond. I knelt down to take a drink from it when I noticed my reflection in the water.
"Seto?" I could hear the panic in my own voice. "Why is one of my eyes purple, and the other blue?" I was pretty sure they were only supposed to be one colour. I also noticed my arm- or more specifically, the cloth that concealed the scar that was given to me at birth- was glowing. As I watched, it unwrapped itself from around my arm, and my mark was there for all to see. It was teardrop-shaped, and it, too, was glowing blue.
"Oh, sh!t," I heard him mumble. "Triss, we need to get back to the group and get on our way to the village right now." That immediately sent me into panic mode, but I tried to stay calm and followed him through the air.
The plan was that we would fly back down to the ground before anyone noticed that we were, well, flying. That plan went all to pot when Ian happened to look up in our direction just as we were about to start our descent. To my surprise, Ian didn't seem to fazed by our airborne-ness. Adam, however, noticed that Ian was staring at something, and attempted to locate what he was staring at- and he was successful. He was, well, startled to say the least, and procceded to yell.
"Seto? Why- HOW THE CRAP ARE YOU FLYING?!?!?!?!" Welp, looks like we have a lot of explaining to do.
Hi guys, it's me again, I just want to say I'm so happy that this book is getting so much good feedback! My mum's got a new Bluetooth keyboard, so I can type this while my brother's on the computer. YAY ME! Anyway, tell me what you think, and I'll see you next chapter.
