We all kinda stood around for a couple of minutes while waiting for Seto to come back down with information on how far we actually were from where the village should be. I heard more twigs snapping, closer now, and I tensed. Adam noticed this, and looked at me questioningly I looked away, and he didn't pursue it further. Seto? Get that magical butt down here now. We have a problem. I sent a message to my brother. Just after he appeared, however, we were met with a man in purple uniform brandishing a spear.

"Halt! In the name of Randomness!" It took all I had in me to not laugh. I could see the guys were having trouble too. The (I assumed) guard looked at us, perplexed, before shoving the closest one of us to him (Quentin) over to get us all to shut up. Two more guards walked towards us menacingly, gripping weapons in their hands.

"Follow me," ordered the guard. He led the way through the forest to a gate with faded letters over the top of it. From what I could make out, it said 'Endearna' something clicked in my head, and I looked back at Seto and saw him make the connection.  You don't think...?  I quickly messaged him, hoping we were thinking the same way. I didn't get a response, but I saw him give a slight nod. We really were back where it all started! I led out a teeny tiny squeal, but I think everyone else saw it as a whimper. Young children ran out of their homes to look at us. I touched my ring, hoping it would help me to ignore the stares. It didn't, but my attention was grasped by something else. An extremely large building was before us, and it glowed with energy. This, as far back as I can remember, was where the captured outsiders were taken to be Tested. All those years ago, I had never imagined that would become one of those people. We watched as a widened old man stepped out of the shadows by the supposed door. He said some words in a language long forgotten by at least me and Seto with his hands raised before beckoning to our group to step forward. To be honest, I hadn't even realised that we had stopped. The original guards took hold of us and dragged us into a line of sorts. I knew what was going to happen next. We would go onto the first step of the building and if you were of non-magical blood, you would be temporarily paralyzed so that the doctors could take you away and wipe all trace of the village from your mind. Seto was first in line followed by me, then everyone else. Seto also knew what we had to do and took the test. He was fine, and moved off to one side. It was my turn next. I stepped up, and was greeted with excruciating pain. I heard a voice screaming, then collapsed to the floor in agony. The last thing I saw was Seto's worried face before the word faded to black.

I heard mumbling all around me and I opened my eyes to a blinding light which made me recoil. I waited for my eyes to get used to it, and realised that the mumbling had stopped. I looked at my surroundings. Pleased that there were no imminent threats, I fell asleep.
