AN: For this I'm just pretending Lindsay took a small little hiatus or something and didn't destroy her life in Chicago and move to NYC. Because at this point I need a little bit of happiness coming from this show. *stares directly at Antonio* and could use no one doing anything stupid. Anyway on with the 'show'.

Lindsay POV:

"Erin let's go! Get a move on, you don't wanna be late!" I hear Jay shout as I pull on a sweater.

"I'm coming, I'm coming! Just wait a few seconds so I can put my makeup on!" I shout as I hurry into the bathroom.

Once I finish my makeup I grab my bag and hurry out into the living room. Once I get there I notice Jay standing by the door, keys in hand. I walk over to him and open my hand up.

"Jay, I love you, but there is no way I am letting you drive."

"Just this once?" He pleads, sounding exactly like a small child.

"No, now hand them over." I say holding my hand out once again.

"Fine..." he grumbles as he places the keys in my hand.

"Thank you." I say in a sing-songy voice.

I walk out of the apartment and head down to the parking lot. When I get there I unlock the car and get in. Of course, Jay being Jay, he isn't down here yet. I turn on the radio and start scrolling through Twitter. I can't help but laugh at something stupid, yet hilarious that one of my favorite celebrities posted. And then I almost start crying at a sweet little good morning note he posted. (Extra points to anyone who guesses who this may be...)

"Erin? You ready?" I hear Jay ask.

"Oh yeah, sorry. Just let me turn some music on..."

"Erin you better not turn a Broadway soundtrack on again." Jay says sternly.

"Oh well guess what? It's my music day, and I get to play whatever I want."

Jay moans loudly as I start playing the soundtrack to "In The Heights". He rolls his eyes and looks at his phone for the whole ride. Once we finally make to the district I turn the music off and we get out of the car.

"So, a lot has changed Erin, I'm just warning you. Antonio, he is different..."

"Yeah I know you told me he might of been doing drugs and about Al."

"No, Erin Antonio he... um he is using, and Eva she was kidnapped..."

"Oh, okay, why didn't you tell me all this?"

"Erin, it literally just all happened at once. Oh and he kind of killed a guy and Ruzek took the blame?"

"I knew he'd do something stupid while I was gone but I didn't expect this level of stupidity. Gosh I leave for one year and suddenly everyone forgets everything I told them."

"Erin, you're acting like your their mother?"

"Sometimes I wonder if I am..."

He rolls his eyes at me as we climb the stairs into Intelligence. When we reach the final step I let out a sigh of relief. I've missed this place. This place is my second home.

"Erin!" I hear Kim yell before she wraps her arms around me.

"Hey Kim! How've you been?" I ask as I hug her back.

"Eh pretty good, Antonio and Ruzek are being idiots though..."

"And we didn't expect that?"

She laughs as I notice Hank walking out of his office. I give one quick last hug before walking over to Hank.

"Hank..." I say when I reach him.

I haven't seen him since I... um... messed up. I know he's my 'dad' so he should forgive me, right?

"How are you?" He asks as he engulfs me in a large hug.

"I'm ready to work..."

"Well, um, this week I've been instructed to only let you to desk work, just to be safe. But I promise on Monday you can get back in the field. Alright?"

"Fine, what should I start on?" I ask as I walk over to my desk.

"Just start on the incident report." He says before going into his office.

I look over at Jay and roll my eyes. He shrugs his shoulders before going to his desk.

"Erin, can you go down and see Platt?" Voight says over the phone.

The rest of Intelligence went out and left me behind. It's been hours, and I finished all the paperwork Voight had me do.

"Sure." I say before hanging up.

When I get down there I notice all the lights turned off. I look around but I can't find anyone. This is not like Platt. She always has at least one person down here.

Just as I'm about to head upstairs the lights flash on and everyone jumps out of where I guess they were hiding.

"Welcome back Lindsay!" They all shout.

I look around and notice decorations all over, and a huge cake on Platt's desk. I'm so overwhelmed with emotions that I start crying. I can't believe they did this for me. No one has ever thrown me a surprise party before. I've never had friends who care this much about. I've never felt this loved before.

AN: Sorry this is so short! I wanted to get this out to you guys to make up for my lack of updating. The new semester at school started and I'm feeling more confident in my ability to update. Now, this doesn't mean I'll definitely update each week, but I will try. I may end up making an updating schedule but when I tried that over the summer it caused me a lot of stress. Also, if you sent in a request can you please comment on this update again? I'm going to make a list of all the requests I have pending so I can try and complete all of them. Hope you enjoyed, and let's hope Antonio and Ruzek figure out this mess they're in!
