I SILENTLY SIPPED ON MY SHAKE,
listening to the last few minutes of my brothers rant.

Dad had grown accustomed to the ranting I think he managed to figure out how to turn his ears off. I wish I could do the same.

"What a scumbag! A good-for-nothing—" Blah blah blah. "He is the most disrespectful—" Blah blah blah.  I looked down at my watch. This had been going for an hour and forty-seven minutes. "I'm going to destroy him at finals, that fuc—" Blah Blah Blah.

Dad nodded, here and there. Saying things like "Sure buddy." And "Absolutely." And "Sure thing champ."

I always thought it was best to stay silent, let him rant. Pretend you're interested by the occasional nod and glancing back between your food and him.

Sam always knew that Dad wasn't listening one hundred percent but he always counted on me to listen. I had felt bad that these past few months I didn't entirely listen to him. Only pretended to. It had worked though.

"He's a disappointment to American Football."

"He's a disappointment to American Football." My Brother and I voiced the exact same sentence at the same time.

"Exactly!" My Brother exaggerates and huffs before taking another sip of his milkshake with a frown.

My Dad looks between the both of us frowning. "Stop doing that twin connection thing! It gives me the heebie jeebies." He shivers, shaking his head.

Finally the rant was finished. It wasn't so much of a twin connection as my Dad states. It was more of after three years, at the end of every rant about Nineteen from Sam he always finished it with that classic sentence.

I think it more so freaked Dad out that I knew exactly when the rant was finished and I'd use the exact same of voice Sam would.

I just chuckled, smiling as I sipped more on the milkshake that was almost finished. I always ordered two milkshakes when I knew Sam had to rant. I also stole his fries.

My Dad sighs in relief at the end of Sam's rant. "So what movie are we going to watch?"

"Zombieland!"

"Zombieland!" Once again Sam and I voice the same movie at the same time.

Dad sends us both a glare and we send him a smile back. Another thing my brother and I shared was our love for Zombie movies. Name any Zombie movie and we've most likely watched it. We collected any and every zombie movie we could find.
