At the Ezame village's academy for mages, children take notes as their teacher presents lessons about the history of magic.
"Chaos Magick was developed in the commoner area by an outcast of the demi god race who goes by the name of Theseal." The teacher said.
A small, young girl, stared through the window, admiring the pale blue sky. She squinted as the rising sun brightened up her big, royal blue eyes meanwhile the wind blew through her long, wavy, magenta colored hair.
"I hate this class...The lessons are so useless. No one in their right mind is gonna use Chaos Magick in a battlefield." She thought.
She looks down at her notebook, with her name, from last to first printed; "Jouniza Kimiko."
She twirls her pencil in her left hand with ease and grace, and rhythmically taps her finger on her desk with her right hand. She then begins to scribble over her notes.
"What am I even doing here..." She mumbles to herself.
Kimiko shuts her notebook, and throws her pencil and books inside her bag.
She gets up and leaves the room without closing her bag, as students watch her without much shock.
"As expected from Kimiko.." says a student.
"She never cares about classes but when she does show up she aces everything." says another.
"Miss Jouniza. Next time let me know when you leave the room." The sensei calls out.
Kimiko walks through the large curved halls carpeted in brown wool. The large windows that are stained with pictures of Kamis and deities dressed in pure white robes were opened due to the heat of late June, allowing plenty a cool breeze to come inside the building.
Without looking where she's going, Kimiko looks down to the buildings on the academy's property.
The property had 6 buildings with an 8 foot tall statue of an ancient deity in the middle. The first was building A, which was for the younger students' classes (1st years to 3rd years). The second building was a larger one, building B, for the 4th to 7th years' classes. Building C was a large dojo with two different rooms where kenjutsu and taijutsu sparring (sword and hand to hand combat) would take place. Building D was a dojo in where magic sparring would take place, building E is a large supply room with many different weapons and magic tools to give to the students at the right time, and finally building F is a lage library.
Kimiko stares upon the statue of a floating woman sitting with her legs crossed holding balance scales.
Suddenly, she bumps into her best friend, Morgana, who was also not looking where she was going.
"Sorry! Are you okay?" Morgana asks.
"Yeah. Are you going to class?" Kimiko asks. "I just left it."
"I wasn't planning on coming today." Morgana replies. "But Keisen caught me cutting class and encouraged me to go."
"Your brother is lame."
"He's the best haha. Oh, your bag is open."
"Oh thanks." Kimiko mutters as she turns her back to Morganaa. "Can you close it for me?"
"Where are you going? Can I come along?" Morgana asks as she zips up Kimiko's bag.
Kimiko smiles, and replies, "Hell yeah."
She grabs Morgana's hand and runs towards the open window.
"Woah! Kimiko?! What's the ma-?!" Morgana exclaims.
