"Somehow, in a calamity-ridden world, I never once expected this to happen."

The four siblings leaves the house, and enjoys their day together.
This is something they usually can't do. The two oldest, Jirae and Kana are usually out at war, busy in different villages or countries or even different empires completing assigned missions.
Keisen is either out with friends or at war as well, and usually spends his free time outside or training. If everyone is home, they wouldn't dare leave their rooms often or leave the house and not come back until the next day or else they may provoke their abusive father. Doing that is their worst fear. Morgana trusted her siblings more than she trusted herself. They were her pride and her shield as well as her bestest friends whom she loved more than anyone else.
So times where they could laugh like they never laughed before are precious, and unforgettable...
....and painful.

Pov: MorganaI was excited to find out how to astral project. The man who spoke to me who called himself Yatsumaki didn't seem like a fake. But I wanted to put family first.
My siblings and I followed Jirae out of the house after saying our goodbyes to Momma, who strangely wouldn't respond and had her face buried in her pillow.
We said hello and goodbye to our clan members while exiting the area, and made our way to the village center. There, we ate and drank as much as we wanted. The legal age for alcohol in our country was 16. But Kana, who was turning 16 next month, drank anyway.
No one of us could blame her. She was always angry at anything or nothing at all. It clearly bothered her. Seeing her relax made me happy.
Meanwhile Keisen and Kana were enjoying themselves, Jirae took me to get a new katana. He wanted a fresh one made for me, so instead of going to the merchant he took me to the blacksmith to order one.
The blacksmith recognized me instantly, for my father would lift me high into the air as a toddler and boast to the village about how his wife birthed the next Kami of Chitereus Empire. He kneeled to bow to me, but I encouraged him to stand, because I never liked that sort of treatment.
Jirae knew what sword was best for me. A 40cm tall blade painted black and a dark red handle with golden rings. The sheath was beautiful. It was dark red with a gold colored dragon running down its side that had glitter in the paint.
I've never seen anything like that before. I knew I would be forever grateful. I thought that maybe Kimiko would be jealous, but dismissed that idea because her sword skills would always be better than mine no matter what weapon she held.
We expected the katana to be delivered at night, so we said thank you and left the workroom hand in hand. When I looked up to Jirae he still had that soft smile on his face. I wondered how he could be so content all the time.
On the way back to get Kana and Keisen, Jirae told me, "I think it's time you start putting effort into learning what a Kami is."
