Chapter 3: The Meeting

Today was the day I finally get to see the vampires, but more importantly understand why do I feel this way. I still haven't met my mate yet and or blood mate yet, well that can change today. Even with the excitement of meeting new faces, I still didn't feel like today will be huge. More so like a regular day for me of meetings and training to become a true leader. This meeting just feels like another lesson.... honestly it feels more of a drag. That feeling I once had of happiness to see is now gone. Even Mufa feels gone or something. My parents did say wolves go through phases when their parents are the Moon goddess chosen. Like the moon my wolf goes into phases of maturity. The fist stage is getting my wolf (more pup like), then the learning to be a wolf stage (more like the final being able to see the world and explore, new next it's the teenage stage( toddler ), after that it's the maturing stage (young adult) then finally the true unapologetic you phase (adult).

Right now I'm at the terrible twos stage turning into the young adult stage for my wolf. In this stage Mufa become an adult while I'm still a teenager. I know it doesn't make sense but hell me being a hybrid doesn't make sense either. But the reason why is so the wolf can be the voice or wisdom, while I just live my best life.

Yet overall I can only imagine that I'm just hungry, so I really don't care much about anything else.

"Food is life, and food is better then a wife and or husband" Mufa chimes in weakly

"Oh be quiet you know you want a mate too"

"Food first .... today isn't that special but special enough to look strong. You're going to well be like your father. That's the curse... the family curse to live forever and a day" Mufa says while wagging his tail swipes left to right.

"Yes I know, to be the hybrid is to never be weak. To live forever and a day. To live like hundred thousand and one" I say while shaking my head

" And you should know to never make a wolf starve!!!!  But more importantly we haven't ate since like 5 o'clock pm yesterday. "Mufa says this time more seriously, other than overreacting.

"Okay, so by the way, what's our true name"?.

"......Lucid"

Lucid then slowly fades into the darkness of my mind. Still there is the shadows, enough to make sure I'm not challenged nor isn't to goofy in serious moments. Knowing he was right I quickly made myself a quick meal, of a salad with grilled chicken. A classic Jerk chicken salad drizzle with Italian dressing mix with jerk chicken sauce. Trust me it's delicious with tomatoes and cucumbers. Served with warm jerk chicken.

"Hmmm, a chef aren't we"? Lucid smiles within my mind.

"Maybe but let's focus on eating and then getting ready, oui"?

Feeling him relax back I focus on the task at hand eating and cleaning up my mess. Then getting ready for a meeting.

Finally getting done with everything I made my way to my room and dressing into my suit. Looking at my inky wavy yet curly hair, to my warm brown eyes. Oh and bushy eyebrows with a set of full lips. I guess what stands out is the gray specs in my eyes. Which only means I am to marked, just like my father I am curse well I'll say blessed with a badass God of a wolf. The wolf of "Lucidity". You see when the Moon Goddess blessed my "Father" with her son (Alpha) she made a God, I guess you can say I'm like Jordan. To live a life full of creating a better world but to die when you're time is up. Becoming the next Moon God or Goddess.

"After having that long monologue, I'll say y'all are all up to date. So we can get back to the main story" Lucid says as I snap back into reality

"The fuck was that" i whispered to myself. As I grab my shoes and tie, getting sleepy.

Walking down to the meeting room I find two amazing scents. One of food and one so light, it's a kiss on the wind. But not having time to find neither one, deciding to keep myself under control I sit in my seat.

Waiting for what seems like forever everyone finally comes in, but oddly I can care less about this. Only to wanting to look outside to catch what is mine and mine alone.

"Someone found our mate" Lucid barks out
Completely ignoring my amazingly awesome piece of work that I call my wolf (note the sarcasm) and giving my attention to the task at hand. I start to feel rather irritated and sleepy.

"Not to sound rude but to sound rude, stop wasting my time with petty talks when, I have my own work to do" I tell the warrior Rayon as he shuts up about having the best pizza in town

"This meeting was called for and only for the means of welcoming our guests to our territory. A family friend well more like my Aunt Amor. Which by all means is already here, which you all supposed to be going over tactics to secure the boundaries. That way everyone can finally go as they please, and have fun. But instead we're talking about pizza" catching a glimpse of something or someone outside in the tree, making it hard for me to focus on anything but it.

"Before we get off topic again down a couple more rounds of checks and stay at your posts. Shifts will change mid day. Have a great weekend" I say looking into the forest only to not see the figure again.

Rubbing my head with a new wave of tiredness, I  went to my room, slipping into a nice silent nap.
