Suspect

The detective sat in front of his suspect, crossed his arms and let out a sigh.

" You're in big trouble, you know that?"

No answer.

" Saying nothing won't save you", scoffed Lee Hongbin, Seoul's Police force's finest detective. Their chief of division kept bragging about how talented he was, yet he was convinced they only picked him from the Academy because he was rather a handsome gentlemen. That idea haunted him for months, before solving his first homicide. After such a victory coming from a young recruit, he began to switch mentality. Maybe he is gifted, after all. Solved the most cases in all Seoul's district and the major city saw a crime rate lowering for the first time in a century.

" Look, I've seen that before. You ain't the only one trying to play tough when in reality you think you have no choice."

" I don't have a choice", suddenly said Hyuk. " If I speak, they'll kill me."

The younger boy stared straight at Hongbin, and it broke his heart to see a kid his age involved in gang activity.

" These guys won't lay a finger on you. I won't let them," he tried to sound convincing, althought he doubted the boy would believe him.

" It was Kim Wonshik. The bomb at Itaewon? 'Twas him. He's a weird guy who likes to explode things. The murders in Hongdae? Cha Hakyeon's work. He's skilled for throwing knives and leaving no traces behind. The Black Kats members disappearances? Jung Taekwoon threw them in a van before trafficking the breaks and sending it straight into a lake. But the worse, it's Lee Jaehwan. He watches over them, cold and arrogant. He gives the missions and if they are successful, he rewards with money."

Hongbin took a moment to absord all the information he just received. The Darkest Angels were a vicious gang, he knew it, but learning about all of this made him feel cold sweat forming on his forehead.

" And if they aren't successful?" he pressed on, leaning closer to the boy.

Sanghyuk smiled, a desolate expression on his face.

" They're executed. "
