I wrote this like two and a half years ago! Hope you like! :))

It was 7 years after the 100 Year War. Aang and Katara were engaged, and traveling the world. Mai and Zuko were in the Fire Nation, ruling over all the lands.
And then there was Toph and Sokka in Ba Sing Se, at the apartment. They were going their separate ways, Toph to teach at her Metalbending School, and Sokka to join his father's fleet in Chameleon Bay.
Toph had had feelings for Sokka for a while now. She never wanted to tell him, considering Sokka's relationship with Suki, which had just ended.
She knew she would not see Sokka for a while, so she got up the nerve to talk to him. She was 19 years old, the best earthbender ever. What was she afraid of? Was she afraid of rejection? It didn't matter now. The time was coming that Sokka had to leave.
"C'mon, Toph," She whispered to herself. "You can do this." She walked up to Sokka as he was packing up.
"Snoozles, I need to talk to you."
"Yeah. Sure," he said. "What is it?"
"Well, since the first time I met you, 7 years ago, we bonded. I remember when you saved my life during the comet. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. I was always mean to you and I used to make fun of you all the time. You usually didn't care, but the reason I did it was because... well..."
She paused. Why couldn't she speak?
"Never mind," she said, as she walked out the room. "I'm such a punk," she yelled to herself, as hot tears streamed down her face.
She just liked him too much, and she didn't want to get rejected. As Toph sobbed on the floor, she heard footsteps walk towards her.
"Toph, are you okay?" Sokka asked in a tender voice. She wiped her tears with the palm of her hand.
"I'm fine."
She clearly wasn't "fine", and Sokka realized this. He sat down on the floor next to her.
"Y'know, you didn't finish your sentence back there," he said sweetly.
She turned her head, blushing.
"I know what you were gonna say," he cried.
Toph's heart dropped.
"You were gonna say that you liked me."
Toph wanted to die. How could he have known? Another tear dripped down her face.
"I want you to know," he said, "that I feel the same way." Toph blushed with embarrassment. "So you aren't gonna say anything?" Sokka asked.
Toph didn't answer. She didn't want Sokka to hear the crying in her voice.
"I guess I will just talk then," he said. "I have seen you mature so much. You used to be a weird little girl."
Toph covered her face with her hand.
"But now you are," he continued, "a beautiful woman. Everything about you is attractive. Your eyes, your body, your personality... your lips..." Toph turned to Sokka.
"I'm sorry for not telling you how I felt earlier. You were still with Suki, and I didn't want to get between you guys. But every time you guys were together, my heart would break..." She stopped.
"Continue," said Sokka.
"I can't believe I actually sound like a girl," she cried. "This is weird."
"No, it's not. We are telling each other about our feelings."
Sokka sounded so sweet and tender. Toph had never heard him speak like this. Everything was going so fast, but she kind of liked it.
"Continue," he said.
"Okay. I never thought that I had a chance with you. I am 3 ½ years younger, and I didn't think you would like me."
"Well, you are older now," he interrupted.
"I know that!" She said. "I really liked you for a while now. You were always so sweet. You're smart, honest and patient with me all the time. And I was so mean. Why did you take my crap?"
Sokka laughed at the fact that Toph was getting angry. She scoffed and blushed.
"I really thought you hated me," he exclaimed. "Toph, I am sorry that you had to see me with Suki. I was so stupid to not see the perfect girl for me was right in front of my face. It must've really hurt," he said ashamed.
"Ah, don't worry, Snoozles," she said. "I am the toughest girl in the world!" Sokka chuckled.
"You're the cutest one too." Toph eased up and smiled at Sokka. He blushed with the sight of Toph's grin. Toph turned to him, and felt Sokka lean in for a kiss. Toph let him. She didn't know how to kiss anyone, for this was her first kiss. Their lips finally met. After a few seconds, she pulled away.
"What's wrong?" he asked.
"Um..." she stuttered. "That was my first kiss."
Sokka laughed. "It's fine, Toph." Toph blushed again with embarrassment. "Just let me lead."
He leaned in again, this time a little bit faster. Toph forgot about this being only her second kiss, and just let Sokka kiss her. A few minutes passed and the kiss became more passionate. Toph was kneeling above Sokka, Sokka lying on the floor. Sokka flipped Toph so that she was lying on the ground. Toph giggled.
"So we are wrestling now?" laughed Toph. Their lips touched, as Toph slowly got off of Sokka.
"That was great!" exclaimed Toph.
"You are pretty good for your first time," said a satisfied Sokka. They sat up.
"I don't want to leave you. I might shut down my school for a while," muttered Toph. "Those lily livers would be happy if I did that."
Toph couldn't believe how different she was acting. She was tough, but when she was with Sokka, she was sweet. She didn't know why she was acting like this. Was it love?
Don't do that," Sokka cried. "As much as I want you to come with me, you can't just leave your school."
Toph let out a huff of irritation.
"We have to get going now, Toph."
As Toph packed up, she felt happy and sad at the same time. As they were both exiting the apartment, they walked the same way. Neither of them spoke. Toph got to her school.
"This is my stop," she cried.
Sokka said, "Listen, Toph. We won't see each other for a while," he murmured in a sad voice. "I just want you to know..."
Sokka was cut off by a kiss.
"You need to shut up sometimes," said Toph.
They kissed with more delight, and this turned into an all-out make out session up against a wall.
"Mhmm," Toph grunted as she kindly pushed Sokka off. "You have to get going."
As much as he didn't want to leave, he would be late to see his father.
"NOW you sound responsible," he exclaimed. Toph snickered.
"Well, someone has to!" she proclaimed. As they both laughed, Toph entered her school.
"Wait. Toph," whispered Sokka. "I love you, Princess." Toph hated being called that, but she didn't mind because Sokka said it.
"I love you too, meathead. Always have, always will." Toph said.
Sokka laughed. "I'm giving myself the oogies!"
"You're an idiot," said Toph. "But you're my idiot."
Sokka smiled, "OOGIES!"
"Well, I gotta go, Snoozles. Bye."
"Bye, Princess."
The two lovers went their separate ways, only to be thinking about each other the whole time.
