Chapter 8.
Draco would not be easy to get back, I mean, let's be honest, I just thrashed him and told him I don't love him and crazy shit like that. What I needed to do was speak to Narcissa. She would know exactly what to do.
I decided I would speak to her tomorrow.
It had gotten late and I was feeling a bit sleepy, no doubt the fact that I had a full on rage today.
Heading back to my dorm, I decided to check in on the Room of Requirements, just to make sure everything was running smoothly so Draco wouldn't get into any trouble for having to wait longer.
I stepped inside the room, entering quietly to softer noises. I crept behind an old desk with a few chairs and birdcages around it. In the middle of the room stood Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley. Ginny took a old-looking book from his hands and walked away while Harry closed his eyes. When Ginny returned moments later, she wasn't carrying the book any longer. She walked up to Harry and they locked lips, continuing to kiss for a few moments. I looked away.
I just hoped that while Ginny was having a nice stroll in the Room of Requirement, she hadn't uncovered the Vanishing Cabinet. That would be a complete disaster if anyone found it, especially if it was someone who was really close to Potter, like Weasley.
Finally the couple left and I was able to see if Ginny had seen anything she shouldn't have.
I walked over to the cabinet and uncovered it. After checking to see that everything worked fine, I covered it back up and went to my dorm for some much needed rest.
When I got to the common room, the whole place was eerily quiet and still. No one was around at all, which seemed quite odd. Ignoring the weird eeriness of the common room, I went up to my dorm. The only problem was that I shared it with Draco.
I snuck into the room and navigated my way around until I found the bathroom. I stripped off and changed into some shorts and a tank top. I turned of the light and slid out of the bathroom, quietly into the bedroom area. I crawled into bed and snuggled into a sleeping Draco's bare chest. Because I was snuggled up with Draco, it didn't take long before sleep took over me.
I woke up the next morning wth a giant headache and Draco was nowhere to be seen.
"Draco, are you here?" I asked the empty room.
As expected there was no reply. Draco must have been pretty pissed after I left him.
I decided I had better get on to figuring out how to get Draco back. I got changed into a short black dress, some gold heels and eased off to professor Snapes office.
I knocked on the door three times before entering."Professor Snape, if you have a moment can I borrow some floo powder and use your fireplace?" I said quickly before realising there was another teacher in the room.
"Miss Nile, Carr to explain why you need floo powder?" Professor Mcgonagall asked.
"Umm.."
"Don't worry, she knows everything." Snape assured me.
"You do?"
"Yes, now what do you need the floo powder for?" She asked again.
"I need to go to Malfoy Manor immediately. I got a letter from my father." I lied.
For some reason I didn't exactly trust her. I knew she was on the right side but if I told her the truth of why I'm going she would probably make me stay here.
"Okay then."
I grabbed a handful of floo powder and stepped into the fireplace. I yelled where I wanted to go and whoosh I was gone.
I arrived in Malfoy Manor fireplace soon after I left Hogwarts.
I stepped out and went searching for Mrs. Malfoy. If I knew well enough she was in the living room - so that's where I went first.
I directed myself through the maze that is the Malfoy home and kind the living room easily after many nights spent here.
Mrs. Malfoy was sitting behind the coffee table on the couch reading.
"Miss Riddle, what a surprise, what can I help you with?" she asked kindly.
"Umm, well, I messed things up with Draco really badly and I was wanting your help in how to get him back."
"Dear, just be yourself, show him how much he means to you. That's the only advice I can give you." She smiled warmly at me.
Just then Lucius walked in.
"Miss Riddle, always a pleasure," he grimaced.
"As is to see you." I grinned at him before giving Narcissa a hug and ran out of the room and back to the fireplace.
I got back to Hogwarts and begged snape
For his help. I was going to make a potion that shows my true love to Draco."Why am I helping you again?" he asked.
"Because you want me and Draco to be happy and you know if you don't I'll spill your secret to my father." I replied.
"Right. Just add two more Phoenix feathers and the potion will be done then. Another question, why did you choose a potion, why not something else?"
"I chose a potion because we all know this is his favourite class and he's the best at potions. Another, because I really couldn't think of a better way of expressing myself. I suck with words so why use words when I don't have to." I finished off the potion and put it into a vial.
"So all he has to do is pour this into a bowl and it will show him everything right?" I queried.
"Right, be on your way now. I have a class in a few minutes." He ushered me out of the room and into the corridor.
I decided to check the quidditch pitch since that's where he usually goes to blow off steam.
I got down to the pitch and found Draco flying around really fast.
"Draco!" I yelled out to get his attention.
"What do you want?" he called back fiercely.
"Please come down here so we can talk properly." He flew down to meet me.
"Draco I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said any of those things. I didn't mean any of it. I love you and I always will. I don't think I can live without you. You make me happy when I'm sad. You make me so goddamn happy please forgive me. Draco Malfoy I fucking love you!" I had burst into tears at this point.
The realisation that if he didn't accept my apology I could lose him sunk in.
"Prove it. People don't just change their minds that quickly."
"I was sorta hoping you'd say that." I grabbed his hand and ran into the castle to go to our room.
Once inside I grabbed a bowl and handed him the potion.
"You can let go of my hand now you know."
"Oh sorry." I frowned slightly but looked anticipatedly at the potion.
"What do I do with this?" he asked curiously.
"Pour the potion into the bowl and let it work it's magic." he did as I said and poured the glowing metallic liquid into the bowl.
