**Spry Revenge's POV**

"WHAT is taking them so long? Dr. Death Defying isn't even that far from here!" I protested, becoming impatient. The guys left to go get Missile Kid over half an hour ago, and the radio building is a ten minute drive from here. Dinner was ready twenty minutes ago and it's getting cold. Me and the girls gave into our hunger long ago and ate ours. Shadow and Hope muttered an "I don't know" in unison.

"Maybe they got attacked. You never know." Miss spoke up, while washing the dishes. She placed a plate on the drying rack and turned around to face us, placing her hands on the counter behind her.

"I guess that's a possibility. Maybe we can talk to Dr. D. He might know something." I concluded, moving all my hair to one side of my head like it's supposed to be. "I don't think we all need to go, though. And I'm not going alone so who wants to come with me?" I asked. Hope was peacefully drawing at a table in the diner and Miss was doing chores, so that leaves Shadow.

"I guess I'll come." She decided after seeing that everybody else was busy. I nodded, and grabbed my red striped jacket. I slipped my ray gun into my belt loop (since I do t have a proper holder for it) and headed out the door. Shadow came quickly after, slipping her mask over head as she walked towards our blue trans-am with the black skull painted on the hood.

"Who's driving?" I asked. I was usually the one to drive, but it's only the two of us so I thought I could let her drive for once.

"I uhm.. I'd rather go shotgun." She awkwardly declined my offer and sat in the front passenger side. I nodded and climbed into my side, starting the car. Shadow had a weird fear of driving, I guess she thought she's crash into everything in sight, not that there was anything to crash into.

"Do you even know where the radio building is?" She asked. I smirked and pulled out my 'Battery City and Surrounding Zones' map. I located the building and drove in the direction at a reasonable speed. I followed the dirt road towards the building.

"So do you think they're okay?" Shadow Blaze smiled half-heartedly. I took my eyes off the road to look at her for a few seconds. My gaze faces forward again and I replied.

"I'm sure they're fine. They probably just stopped to talk to Dr. D. Even if they got attacked, they could handle it." I said, half to myself, reassuring the both of us. She nodded awkwardly and looked out the window at nothing. All there was to look at were tumbleweeds and sand. You could see Battery City off in the distance but it wasn't that clear.

The rest of the drive to the building was quiet. After approximately 10 minutes, we pulled up to a run-down looking building with a giant '109' painted on the brick wall. I parked the car outside of the shack, and turned the car off. The guys' car was nowhere in sight. I could see fresh tire-marks in the sand, but no car as far as I could see. I sighed in worry and approached the door. Shadow walked beside me, and knocked on the wooden door.

"Who is it?" I heard a husky voice from inside. Shadow and I exchanged glances, deciding whether we should say our names or just keep it simple. I doubt he even knows we exist.

"We're fabulous killjoys.. I guess." I announced, and the door opened.

"You must be Spry Revenge, and Shadow Blaze." He said. I looked surprised at him for a moment, and than shook it off. The guys probably told him about us.

"Yeah.. Have you seen Party Poison and the other guys? They were supposed to be back at the diner twenty minutes ago. All we know is that they were coming here when they left." I explained, looking around again.

"Yeah they were here. They left with missile kid, I don't know where they went though." Dr. D told us all he knew.

"Well can you help us find them? You know the area a lot better than we do." I asked. He sighed and hitched his dark sunglasses up his nose.

"I suppose. Show Pony! Can you manage the radio station?" Dr. D called out into the shack. I heard a "yes" in response and sighed in relief that we had help. Dr. Death Defying grabbed a bandana and tied it around his head.

"Let's go," he said and I led him to our car. He followed behind in his squeaky wheel chair. I helped him into the back seat and put the wheel chair in the trunk. I got into the driver'a seat, and Shadow was in the passenger side again. Dr. D pointed out where to go, listing off places he thought they'd be.

"Look, there's tire tracks in the sand there! Maybe it's from them!" I suggested, seeing tracks off-road. The tracks made about a 75 degree turn and headed in the opposite direction from the diner. I took a hard turn and followed the tracks.

"There's two sets of tracks. They were being followed." Dr. Death confirmed. I swallowed a worried lump in my throat and stared out the window at the tracks. Shadow kept quiet the whole drive so far. I saw a white car covered in decals in the distance.

"Is that the trans-am?!" Shadow squealed from the passenger seat. I widened my eyes and stared at the car. I pressed harder on the gas pedal as we neared the car. I could see the black widow on the hood clearly now, and the American flag on the side. There was nobody inside the car.

I parked beside the guys' car and I quickly got out of the vehicle. I ran to the other car and swung the door open. Finding nothing, I turned to look at Shadow and Dr. D who were waiting for an answer from me.

"They're gone," I concluded. Dr. Death's mouth hung open, and Shadow looked at the ground. I looked at the separate tracks, and followed them with my eyes.

"They headed towards zone 3. Probably to one of the bases. No doubt that they've been killed.. Or being experimented on. I don't think Korse would let them live though," Dr. D spoke sadly. My arms dropped to my side at the fact that we lost the guys. My heroes ever since I was little.. I felt tears form in my eyes but I blinked them away.

"M-maybe we could.. Find them.." I stuttered, not looking at anybody.

"That won't help. Either they're brain dead from some drug, or they're just dead in general. Korse wouldn't just let them chill out in a base when they could escape. Even if we try and save them, we'll just get trapped with them." Dr. Death Defying spoke bluntly, obviously hiding pain. He was right though, either they've been drugged with some pill or shot that makes them emotionless, they're dead, or they're locked in some high-security vault.

"Well.. Do we just give up?" I spat, getting delusional.

"We don't have a lot of options, Spry Revenge. We can't just march in there and rescue them." He replied a lot calmer than me.

"You know, they have Missile Kid too." I challenged, knowing he cared about her like a daughter. He formed a solid line with his mouth and didn't say anything else.

"They wouldn't kill her. She's still alive somewhere and you're not going to do anything about it?" I crossed my arms over my chest and let out a huff of air. He thought in silence for a moment as he sat in the car, and than spoke.

"No. Just leave this to me. I'll handle it, just get your pretty little faces back to the diner and stay out of it." He grumbled and slammed the car door so I couldn't object. I exchanged worried glances with Shadow, and walked to the guy's car.

"I'll hook everything up, just wait in the car." I ordered like a mother. Shadow nodded and got in her seat again.

******************

"So they could be alive somewhere, and we're not gonna do anything about it?!" Miss Understood said with a heated tone.

"Yes. As much as I want to help, Dr. D ordered us not to. If we try, we could get ourselves killed." I explained, trying to remain calm, but mostly failing. I was on the verge of tears to tell you the truth.

"That's so stupid, it's not like we're important anyways. We're just those random people he helped them once. Don't you think their lives are more important than ours?" Miss reasoned. She was making sense, but Dr. D seemed to know what he was talking about. We dropped Dr. D off at the radio building on our way back to the diner.

"I know, Miss. Just, let's wait and see what happens."
