Beneath the Stars

When you don't want to go,
Just so you don't feel low.
How much they make you want to go,
You start feeling on top of the world,
Not sure what you should do,
Then you grab your dress and wear your heels,
What you just do is go.

The lights are blazing,
Everybody dancing,
You start with a wave,

Everybody singing,

You search for someone,
Among the known faces,
You find people looking at you.
Your hand held tight,
You're pulled with might,
Pulled hard into the circle of joy.

You go round the emotions,
Happy, sad, lonely,
But you see people smile,
And now you want to fly.

Then you say,

I'm not here to try,
Not going to say hello,
Not going to say goodbye,
Just living the moment,
Doing what I want,
And all I want is dance,
Dancing beneath the stars.

Move your body, hold your breath,
Raise your hands, tilt your head,
Clear your mind, take your own time,
Find yourself lost in the song.
Not looking around, just being yourself,
Get your glasses off on the floor,
Find yourself lost in the song,
Just like you did before.

Caring about none, thinking of none,
All you do is be on the dance floor,
The moon is full, the night is bright,
Dancing beneath the stars,
When you dance, the world is obliged,
You're the best when you move,
You're beautiful when you forget all,
You're the best when you do what you want.

Then you say,

Beauty sparks when my mind's clear,
Now I'm lost in the lights of the night,
When I dance, that's when stars dance,
