Good Friend

Good to know that no one's a good friend,
Isn't this how things come to an end?
Thinking of them every now and then,
Finding diffrent ways to talk to them.

Knowing how they feel, you try to help,
Being there as a shadow with every step,
Knowing how you feel, they come to help,
They stab in the back and you just yelp.

Bondings that form, supposed to be unbreakable,
But to satisfy the friendship, none is capable,
All the efforts made are in vain,
All they want is to gain by giving pain.

Promises being mockery,
Smiles being boredom,
Friends being enemies,
Love being lie.

Good to know no one's a good friend,
Isn't this how things should come to an end?
Desiring them every now and then,
Finding valid reasons to depend on them.

All those words of staying by your side,
Fade into oblivion the moment there's nowhere to hide,
In this large world full of creatures with no end,
Nowhere is to be found the perfect good friend.

Don't ask for someone as notable as best friend,
Only hunt for someone who is just a good friend,
Years and years would pass in vain,
So it's fine to learn to live without a good friend.
