"Dad!" Marylin shouted. "Yes?" he said walking into the living room where she sat on the sofa on her phone. "Could I go to the Katy Perry concert?" She asked looking up and smiling. "No. Tomorrow we're off to America." he said looking through some drawers. "Yeah she's in America. Please Dad it's my birthday tomorrow." she said getting up and walking over to her father. "You know I love you but no."
"Why not. Please Dad." "Look no I'm sorry but we're going to America for work not to go to some concert." "But.." "No buts go pack." he held up his hand. She sighed walking up stairs and packing. Being the daughter of a famous well known actor wasn't as marvelous as people think. It has its flaws. Lots of sneaking around. Laying low. Secrets. It isn't all money and pictures on magazines it is more than that.
"I finished dad!" She said sitting on her suite case to make it close. "Good, now get some rest. I expect you up and ready by 5am." "What?" Marylin groaned. "Yep." he said entering her room, "good night." he smiled kissing her forehead. "Good night Daddy." she smiled hoping into bed. "Love you." he said turning off the light and closing the door.
The next morning they arrived at the airport, Marylin still half alseep. They had their bags checked and were aloud to get on the plane. Marylin sat looking out the window and her dad sat next to her, "Please..." she suddenly said. "Not this again..." her dad sighed. "You know I'm a big fan and I have all her albums, perfumes, posters, movie everything. Please." she begged. "I'll think about it." he said only to make her stop her begging.
Marylin put in her earphones listening to her new playlist she downloaded on her phone whilst looking out the window. Slowly she started to fall asleep.
"It's a girl!" the doctor smiled lifting the baby up. After cleaning the baby they past her to her mother. She look so exhausted but desperately wanted to hold her baby. "She's beautiful." she heard the silky voice she loved. "Oh Tom." she weakly smiled. "What shall we call her?" "Marylin." Marylin's mother suggested. "What a beautiful name. I like it." Tom kissed his wife's sweaty forehead.
"I love you, both of you." her mother started, "remember that. I will always love you both and I'll always be with you even when I'm not." she said as tears began to fill her eyes. "Don't say that." Tom cried. "Thomas I love you. Please look after her, our precious daughter." she handed her other before placing a gentle kiss on her forehead and gently squeezing her little hand. The monitor started to beep faster and faster when all of a sudden the room fild with a loud constant beep. Tom look up to see his wife laying life less. Her beautiful brown eyes closed.
"Maryin wake up!" She heard her dad softly whisper. "Mmm?" Marylin groaned and got up stretching. They got into the airport to see fans everywhere, "Tom, Marylin!" Luke called. They followed Luke until they were outside and in the car."Wow... Girls love you dad." Marylin said out of breath causing her dad to laughed.
They arrived at their 'New York house' as Marylin calls it. "Go unpack I'm gonna go out to get somethings." her dad said weeling his bags inside and picking up his car keys. "Can I-" Marylin started but he was gone. She went upstairs and unpacked. She missed it here but also missed her home back home, in England. She looked out the window to the pool and the little house she used to play in as a child.
She sat on her windowsill looking outside there wasn't much since there was a huge wall all around the house. Her father likes his privacy and she doesn't blame him every time she's on any socail network there are pictures of him. Everywhere. It was strange that even girls her age fancy her dad even younger. She walked over to her dresser to see her mother's jewellery box. Her dad gave it to her so she could always remember her. Also before her mother died they had a picture of her, her dad and mother taken.
She also had a really sweet picture of her pregnant mum with her dad's arms around her. They both looked so happy and In love. She wished one day she could find someone and be like that. "Your mother couldn't wait to hold you." she heard someone say behind her. "Hello Maria." Marylin smiled. Maria was her nanny and now she's a maid for them even through they still do the cooking and things themselves. She looks after the house when they are back in the UK. "You knew her?" "Yes and she was so beautiful. Your dad and mum were such a happy couple, never argued nor fought." Maria said looking at the picture in her hands.
"Was she nice?" "Not a bad bone in her." Maria smiled. "I would do anything to meet her." Marylin looked down at the photo. "You kind of remind me of her." "Really how?" she asked curious. "You have her beautiful brown eyes, her long silky brown hair, your kind heart, determination, resilience." "Do I have anything of my dad?" "The ears and nose." "Is that it?" She laughed. "Also his kind heart and wit." "Wit?" "Yes wit." Maria said and left.
"I'm home!" Her dad called. She ran downstairs and hugged him. "Wow... Ehehe, I was only gone for 10 minutes." her dad laughed. "I love you." she pulled away looking up and him. "I love you too." he kissed her forehead. After tea they sat on the sofa watching a film, Taken. "Don't go getting yourself into trouble like that." her father commented. "I won't. I promise. I'm too scared to go on holiday alone." she laughed, "also have you thought about-" He let out a loud sigh, "I said I'll think about it." "Dad it's Friday. Please." "I'll think about it and anyway we're having a party tomorrow."
"What for?" "Your birthday day!" "There's no need." "There is every need. Look maybe next time you can go see her." "You mean next time she's on tour?" "Yes." he nodded. "No dad. Please." she begged. He ignored her walking to the kitchen and getting some pop corn and sitting back down. "Fine." she huffed walking up stairs and going into her room. She sat texting her friends back home and looking through social media websites.
"Sweetie?" her dad softly knocked. "Yes?" "I'm off to bed. We have a long day tomorrow." "Alright good night." she walked over to the door kissing her dad good night.
