{Chapter 13}

The next day Marylin woke up running into the bathroom to wash. Chris sat up groaning and rubbing his eyes as she was in the shower. When she got out she opened the door to see Chris awake. "Sorry. Did I wake you?" She apologised holding onto her towel. "Yes but it's okay. I wanted to wish you luck before you go." he smiled getting up and walking over to her kissing her softly lasting 20 seconds. "Right what to wear." she pulled away looking in her wardrobe.

She decided to wear a white floral print open back bodycon dress, her favourite white panelled bowler bag, a pair of black textured peeptoe heels and a black leather-look fitted jacket. "Right I'm off." Marylin kissed Chris's forehead and went down stairs. "Bye baby." Chris followed her down stairs. "Dad I'm going now!" She called. "Let me take you." he said coming out of the kitchen with his keys. "Alright then. Bye" she kissed Chris and left. "Good luck!" He called from the front door.

When she arrived at the studio her dad wished her luck and she made her way inside. She went to the resepionist and asked where to go. She reached a room with black outdoor lightly knocking. "Marylin." Katy opened the door. "Katy." she smiled as Katy in braced her in a hug, "thank you so much for this." "Its my pleasure. Your really talanted and I really think you can be up there with like Ariana Grande and Rita Ora." she smiled gustering her in and sitting down. "Really?" "Yep. Now do you want like a stage name or would you like to keep your name?" "Could I keep my name?" "Sure. Right I know this is very short notice but I have got you a little performance in front of a bounch of people. Can you do it? It's at 9 tonight." she asked. "Yeah sure could I bring my dad and Chris?" Marylin smiled. "Yeah sure. Right then lets record a song." Katy rubbed her hands together.

After recording a cover song Katy wanted her to have a little photoshoot aswell. "I'll see you tonight." Katy in braced Marylin in a hug. "Okay." Marylin smiled. "Also maybe we can do a duet? Or something." "Yeah that would be great." When Marylin got home she collapsed onto the sofa next to Chris. "So how did it go?" Chris asked. "Good, good. She wants me to do a performance tonight at 9." "That's brilliant." her dad walked in with a cup of Earl Grey tea. "And she said you two could come. So can you come?" "I'd be happy to." Tom smiled. "Count me in. I wouldn't miss It for the world" Chris kissed her softly.

"Yes!" She smiled, "I best find something to wear" she ran upstairs making her dad and Chris laugh. She opened her wardrobe door and started to look through it. She found a pair of blue tie dye scuba leggings, a cream textured turtle neck peplum top, white chunky platform barely there sandals and a white crepe blazer.

When they arrived at the bar Katy said she will be performing at it was busy. She was told she would be performing in front of a couple of people not a whole bar. She took a deep breath and hadn't relised she tightened her grip on Chris's hand. He looked down and smiled, "you can do this." "She told me it was a couple of people not a whole bar." she looked up and smiled weakly hiding that she was shaking. "Marylin!" She heard someone say she turned around to see Katy. "Katy." she smiled. "Are you ready?" Katy asked with a smile.

"Yeah." she took a deep breath before quickly kissing Chris and walking backstage with Katy. "First up you will be singing 'Maps' by Maroon 5." "Okay. Thats my favorite song. I know it off by heart." Marylin nodded. "Good luck." Katy smiled handing her a mic. Marylin walked onto the stage and sat down next to Mike her guitarist. He looked up and smiled, "ready? She nodded her head holding her microphone up to her mouth.
