POV: 3th person
****"Hey there Michelle."
"Hey Jake. What's up?"
"Nothing much, with you?"
"My mum's overprotective just because of that small panic attack. It's not that much of a big deal, but it's kinda annoying."
"Good thing I don't have that problem then." Jake mutters under his breath.
Michelle sits down next to him on the fallen tree.
"Wanna put on some music?"
"Sure. My playlist."
"Oh come on!"
"I claimed first. Boybands are life and electronic is my everything."
"So what are we going to listen?"
"Both."
She grabs her phone and sees a few missed calls from my mum. She rolls her eyes and opens spotify. Her playlist is ready to play, as she never really listens anything else. She taps on it and starts with playing Lily by Alan Walker. His songs are amazing. She looks up and see Jake smiling.
"I didn't know you like him."
"You don't really know a lot anymore, do you?" She questions.
"Michelle."
"It's fine, it's just a simple fact."
"I know. Let's just talk about something else."
"Fine. What do you wanna do?"
"20 questions?"
"Sure."
"Cats or dogs?"
"Dogs. Favorite song?"
"Social casualty by 5 seconds of summer. The meaning is just great. Yours?" Jake answers. He seems to be reminding something, since he looks up at the sky while saying it.
"That's a trick question. All the songs are amazing."
"All the songs?"
"All the songs by either The Vamps, One Direction, Alan Walker or The Chainsmokers. They're my kings."
"That's a lot of music."
"True. I like more, but these are my favorites."
"You have a very big range of music you like."
"True. But I just appreciate a lot of genres."
"Alright. It's your turn to ask a question."
"Any male celebrity crushes?"
"What?" He looks at her with a hint of disgust. "Not for me Michelle. uou should know by now that I don't do crushes, let alone celeb crushes, let alone MALE celeb crushes."
"Alright. I was just asking. How would I know? Maybe you changed." She says.
Jake jumps of the tree and walks in front of her. She looks up.
"You should know very well by now that I only like girls, don't you?" He wispers.
"Everyone can change Jake. Everyone." She says.
"I know that. But I don't want to change."
"You can't prevent change. Everyone has to move on and when you move on you change. It's common knowledge. And sure, you might not notice you changed, but you did. I saw, Daisy saw, the class saw. Everyone saw." She sighs and looks him in the eye. He looks dangerously mad. "I. Don't. Change."
"You do Jake. The Jake I know doesn't get frustrated this easy. The Jake I know doesn't skip school ever. The Jake I know was different, but that doesn't matter. The Jake I know changed but he doesn't know, but that's because change goes unnoticeable slow."
"Why do you tell me this? Change is bad."
"It's not always bad Jake. You changed because of reasons I don't know. But the Jake I know didn't accept change either because he loved the way things were before."
"Change can't keep on happening."
"But it does, because we don't want the live the same day over and over again. If things don't change you would still be that small guy that's 4 years old and loves his grandparents and plays soccer every single day because he wants to become a pro and you would still eat as messy. You would still have that brownish hair and you wouldn't paint, or do art at all. You wouldn't dance.
You do all those things because you changed."
He sighs. "Fine then. Are we going to make that artwork or not?"
"Sure. Do you have a wall in mind?" She asks.
"There's this café at the other edge of the woods. Students drive past it every day and everyone who goes there to eat will see it." He says, smirking.
"Doesn't that mean we will get caught faster?"
"Not anymore. I already did the outlines with one of my friends. He claimed the wall since he does graffiti too. I told him about the project and asked if I could use the wall. He said it's fine since I'm quite known under street artists and stuff plus he only tags those walls so friends can use them, well most of the time he does that. Sometimes he makes a painting himself."
"Alright then. Lets go."
She steps of the tree and looks at him for directions.
"Follow me."
****
"Wow."
The wall is completely white, expect for the sketch of a tall boy looking up. On his left is a slightly smaller girl clinging onto his arm, pointing up to the sky. Her hair is flying to the left.
"I changed up their silhouettes a little, I hope you don't mind it..." He scratched his neck and looks at the wall.
"It looks great Jake. Maybe we can also add like a quote or something at the top. That way she's actually pointing towards something."
"Sounds good. Will you do the colours at the bottom, then I'll do the top. Don't worry about going a little on the black lines, I'll have to add a second layer anyway."
"Alright."
Jake opens up his black backpack and gives her the pink and orange paint. He grabs the blue and yellow paint and stands up.
They both start painting and slowly but surely the girl and boy become two colourful characters.
"What is going to be the quote?" Jake suddenly asks.
Michelle looks at him, doubting her choice, before she finally says: "The brightest colours fill my head every night, they're called feelings. You should have them too."
"That sounds pretty good. Do you want to put it there?"
"Sure."
She stands up. "Wait. I got these paint things, I think you can write better with those." He says, jumping down from the higher part he was standing on. He walks toward the backpack and grabs the paint tube he means.
She takes it from him and climbed up. Then she paints the letters one by one on the wall.
Jake sneakily takes a picture from behind her.
"Finished!"
Jake looks up from his phone to see a smiling Michelle and a wall completely covered in paint behind her."Looks good! Tomorrow I'll go here and take good pictures of the artwork."
"Alright. Then I guess I'm going home."
"Alright. See you tomorrow at school?"
"I guess. Bye Jake."
"Bye Michelle."

I really dreaded writing this chapter out and tonight I just felt like I should finish it
