Location: school
Date: 12-09
POV: 3th person****
Michelle walks towards her locker with her bag in her hands. Once again, it rained and she was soaked. She puts in her code and pulls the thing open. She throws in her jacket and beanie, knowing she will get scolded if she wears it in class. She tried it once and it didn't go well. Sighing she slams her locker shut.
She looks for Daisy but can't find her, so she sends her a text:
Where are uu???Homeee
I'm sick:/Dammit
Great. Having to live a day trough school without your best (and only, but that's a side fact) friend. She looks up from her phone and puts it in her pocket. She decides it's the best to just go towards her first class - maths.
Hopefully it won't be that bad.
Hopefully.
****
It was bad. Her teacher had the test results and to say they weren't good was an understatement.
In other words, she had failed. After maths she had French and that wasn't much better. But like, what language doesn't pronounce the H? It for sure isn't English. That's a normal language.
She is walking towards the cafeteria, hoping there will be someone she can sit with, when she hears someone shouting her name.
She turns around to see Jake smiling at her. "Hey Jake." She answers him. "Where's Daisy? You guys are always together." He asks.
"She's sick."
"Tell her to heal fast."
"I will. Mostly because school sucks without her." Michelle says. He laughs.
"I know right? School without your best friend just sucks." He looks down.
"Yeah.""Jake? Can I talk to you for a moment please?" Miss Evergreen suddenly interrupts. Michelle looks up. "Of course May." Jake answers her.
"Jake. You are suppost to call me miss Evergreen in this building. And follow me please." He rolled his eyes and once again that day, Michelle was alone."May, what's wrong?" He asked. "Have you already asked her to join today?" May asks.
"Not yet. I have to ease her into this stuff you know. You don't just 'join' something like that. Plus I think she kinda lost her trust in me after the thing." He answers her."We have to get her to join us soon. The boss told me so. She could be the girl from the tellings. She is golden with the blue eyes after all." She says.
"I know May. Can you just trust me with this one thing? I still have 4 hours to do this and I'd rather spend them talking to Michelle then listening to your rants about how I have to hurry, because then we just lose time. And we need all the time we can get. You, out of all people, should know that." He tells her. She nods, and they split ways.Jake goes back to Michelle, and May goes to her office.
"Sorry about that." Jake says when he gets back with Michelle. "It's no problem." She says.
"It is and I know it. You hated being alone when we were friends and you still do. You got so worked up this morning when you discovered that Daisy was sick. I saw that." He says. She just blushed, because it was true. She hated being alone all the time. Alone with your thoughts is the worst."Michelle? Can I ask you something random?" He says.
"Yes, I guess. I don't say I will answer everything trough."
"Can you dance? It goes kinda like hip-hop I guess?" He asks.
"Uhm yeah. I can try, why?" Michelle answers, confused.
"Can I take you somewhere this afternoon then?" Jake asks.
"I have nothing better to do since Daisy is sick, so sure."
"Okay, good."****
POV: the boss****
"May, how are you doing?" I ask. "Good boss. Jake is getting the girl to join us, at least this afternoon. I will make sure she stays trough. And if I don't, Red will. He sure does some great work getting newbies to stay and she is a newbie after all." She answers.
I stay silent for a moment. Does she really not realize the importance of this Michelle girl?
"You and I both know that isn't enough. She has to get to the point she wants to join us. She is important. I'm sure it's her. She has that vibe around her that just implies that she is the one. She is the key to the future of our gang. If she doesn't join us, we might as well immediately give up and go to the police right now. That can't happen, do you hear me? We have to get trough this. If this gang dies, a lot of people will get a messed up life. People like Jake. People like Red. People like your future child Michelle. Do you want that? Do you want those innocent people to get involved with the fucked up parts of the world?
Because I sure as hell already am involved in that, and I try to keep all of you out of this stuff. But it is difficult, and if we can't get the tellings to come true now we're so close, we're doomed." This turned into a long rant, but she has to get it into her head. Michelle is important.
"I get it boss. I'll make it happen." May says, "Just don't worry too much about her, okay?"
"Fine." I brought out. "I'll talk to you tomorrow May. She better joined the gang."
"She will boss. I'll make sure of it."
****
"Boss?" May says. I groan. "What thing was important enough to call me again? I don't call twice a day. You should know that."
"For a 22 year old man you are very immature. I called to inform you that Michelle is coming today. Jake also told me that she apparently is a fan of the graffiti we used to put on walls and that they made one a few days ago. Perhaps they can come back as the spirit painters and if she's a good dancer, do duo dances."I had to think about that for a while. If she likes paintings and she can make good designs, that may be a good idea to get her to join us. Of course, I don't want to bribe her, but after the other artist stopped painting for us, she may be a good replacement and she will join us.
"That doesn't sound too bad May. Please inform Jake about this plan. But, don't let him join the paint part just yet. She has to see it as her own thing, so she will feel special, which she is of course, but she has to feel it from the start. I don't think she will without this being her own thing."
It's silent on the other side. After a few seconds, she finally answers me. "Alright. I'll fix it boss. We speak tomorrow?"
"Yes. I want to know everything about Michelle and her place in the gang."****
Woop woop another chapter!
I don't know why the previous chapter was so hard to write and this one just flowed out.
