Chapter 11 - The Note 2

Katie's POV

I walked down stairs to the living room and saw Isaac with everyone. When I entered the room, he turned around with a grin on his face. "Hey, babe." He said then walked over and kissed me on the forehead,"You look gorgeous."

"You don't look too bad yourself," I said looking up at him then pecked his lips. He pulled me closer and pushed his lips harder to mine.

Everyone in the living room was looking at us and said,"ooolala." I pulled away quickly blushing then buried my face into Isaac's chest. He chuckled and gave me a small squeeze.

"We are going out, we should only be an hour or two. Jason look over the pack while I'm gone. Keep me updated on anything that happens." Isaac said to everyone in mind link. The people close, nodded after he spoke then we left.

We walked out front to his car. He opened the door for me, I got in then he got in on his side. I smiled to myself at his small acts of kindness showing love. I looked to him and saw him smile,"Enjoy what you're looking at?"

"Oh shut up," I said pushing him lightly and he chuckled. "So where are we going?"

"Just somewhere I love to go when I need to be alone," he said happily. He started driving and it only took 30 minutes. He got out and came to open my door for me. We got out and he grabbed my hand locking our fingers. We started walking down a narrow path till there was a clearing and you could see the beach.

"The beach?" I said questioning but he shook his head 'no'. We continued walking till we saw a gazebo. As we got closer, there was a nice little set up with a few candles.

When we got to it, Isaac pulled my chair out for me and I sat down then he pushed it in for me. He walked to his side and sat across from me grinning like a little boy who won a prize. "You're always full of surprises," I said happily.

"What would life be if there wasn't surprises?" He said then we both started to eat. It was pretty perfect. We both have been so stressed out and working extra hard. This is a little break for us and it was so relaxing. We just talked and laughed for hours. When we were done, we walked along the beach towards the car. When I turned back, I already saw pack members cleaning up our dinner. He always has everything planned out. "Wanna go for a swim?" He said with a smirk. I couldn't make a move before he threw me over his shoulder and was carrying me into the water.

I was laughing and so was Isaac but just like that, water covered me. I popped my head up out of the water to see him standing there laughing at me. That's when I tackled him and we both fell into the water. When we came up, we kissed and our tongues danced together. The kiss was long and full of passion. It felt like we just kissed for he first time. We haven't had alone time in so long. This was just special to us. We laughed and swam for an hour before getting out and drying off. We got in the car and drove home, and by this time it was dark.

When we got home, everyone was asleep. Me and Isaac went up to our room and showered then went to bed. "I love you," he whispered to me.

"I love you too," I said before closing my eyes and falling to sleep.

We all woke up to a bang on the door. Issac and I was the first to the door. He looked out the hole and saw no one so he opened it to check. As he opened the door, he had his other hand keeping me behind him. He peaked out the door and made sure it was clear before standing up right again. "False alarm everyone!" Issac shouted for everyone to hear. He was about to close the door when something caught his eye. He reached up to the door and grabbed what looked like a note. He's body completely changed: his eyes got dark, his muscles tightened, and his body seemed to be taller. He crumbled up the paper and headed to his office before yelling, "Meeting now!"

Everyone met in the dinning hall and I stood at the front waiting for Issac. There was quiet chatter among the pack as we all waited. After a hour or so, Issac finally came in. He walked heavier then normal as if he was in a rush. Once he was beside me, I wrapped my arm around his waist to pull him close to me. His body instantly relaxed and I felt his body melt into mine. He pulled away and looked me in the eyes almost as if he was reassuring me.He kissed me on the forehead before stepping up on our small deck in front of our pack. The room fell to silence as he walked up the two steps and he was now scanning the room.

"I know you all must be wondering why I called a meeting and some of you may be scared-" he paused to look at me before finishing, "-and you have every right to be. We received a threat this morning left as a note on the front door. Also, Katie's father had escaped last night. We need to be ready for battle. Now I'm not saying there will be a battle, but we need to be prepared and have security higher than normal." After he finished he signaled his boys to come up before firmly stating, "Do as they say because training will be increased starting now."

He walked down and the chatter began. Issac walked past me but grabbing my hand before leaving. He pulled me with him and I followed happily. We went into his office where I was the crumbled up piece of paper. 

"What did the note say?" I asked.

He let out a long sign before answering, "They said now that I'm a king with my queen I should be expecting to be over thrown." It was silent as I watched his body twitch and shift which made me know l there was more. "I have been keeping something from you. We have see spotting of rogues along the boards of our land. I think that your father has gotten a pack together to get you and Kc back, and now that he's out..." he finished before I realized I had been holding my breath - it went black.
