chapter 5 - The Pack

KATIE'S POV

After telling Isaac everything, I felt so much better. Then I kissed him. We just kissed. He asked me to move in with him... And I said 'yes'. He's my mate. He's so gorgeous and sweet. How could I get him? He's perfect and I'm not.

'You are perfect. You're caring and loving. You're the most beautiful person I've ever seen. Your looks are just a bonus.' I heard his voice say in my head and I jumped. "Katie, you have now seemed to accept me. That means we can mind link. The only way we can't is if we put a block up." He said and I nodded. We got out of his car and walked to school. He got his schedule to match mine and we sat next to each other in every class. Most of the students at school are part of his pack, the ones who aren't are the humans that don't know any of this.

After school, I got into Isaac's car. "I told my parents that you and your brother are coming with us, to our pack house." He said and I nodded. We drove in silence to pick up Kc. After, we drove straight to my house. My dad still hasn't come home, which might be a good sign. I went into my room and grabbed two suitcases. I packed all my cloths in one and the other one I put my toiletries, makeup, shoes, books, camera, iPod, and photo albums. I packed up Kc's stuff. He also has two suitcases. One with all his cloths and toiletries, and the other with his books and toys. We pack our suitcases in Isaac's car then headed to his house.

When we got there, I saw his beautiful mansion. It was all covered in stone with a big deck on the front. Isaac took our bags out of the trunk and I put Kc on my back then grabbed my suitcases. Isaac grabbed Kc's and we walked in. The floor was all a dark hardwood and the walls were all cream colored. The stairs were a pretty marble with a black railing. I was snapped out of it when a guy, around Isaac's age, came running in. He looked about 6-foot-tall and muscular, but not at muscular as Isaac. He had black hair and brown eyes with tan skin.

"Well Isaac who is this?" The guys asked.

"This is Katie, and this is Kc." Isaac said pointing to us when he said our names. "Katie and Kc, this is Jason. Jason's my beta," Isaac said. Kc was now on the ground holding my hand. Jason looked up at me looking happy.

"Well I'm glad you found each other!" He said and paused. "Can I ask why you have a cut on your head, and is that a black eye?" Jason said sounding cautions. I looked down and sighed.

Isaac noticed and answered for me, "Her dad has been abusive." When he finished, sorrow filled Jason's eyes. He looked back to me with a sad smile before he hugged me tight. Isaac growled and Jason let go instantly.

"I'm sorry, Katie." He almost whispered.

"It's ok. Thanks though, Jason." I said and he smiled. It was quiet for a moment before Isaac broke it. "Jase, I need you to bring these bags up to my room. After, I want the whole pack in the dining hall, ok?" Isaac said and Jason nodded. So Jase was his nickname? Jason left, and Isaac grabbed my hand dragging me and Kc with him. "I wanna show you the house before we need to go to talk to the pack." He said and I nodded. He showed us the library (on the top floor), the game room (on the second floor), the movie theater (on the second floor), the pool (on the first floor), and the gym, (on the first floor). The kitchen and dining room were connected (also on the first floor). It was a three-leave house. There was an outside pool and garden in the backyard. After she showed us the house, we went to the dining hall. Kc was in my arms on my side smiling happily. He seemed to like Isaac a lot and the house. When we opened the doors to the dining hall, all eyes were on us. Isaac took hold of my elbow (since I was holding Kc) and brought me up to a little stage. A couple was also on the stage. Isaac hugged them both and smiled.

"Mom. Dad. This is Katie," He said still smiling from ear to ear, and his eyes were shining. So, these are his parents. They seem so nice and happy. I wish I had a family like that.. His mom was tall, about 5'7, with curly, brown hair at shoulder length (in a ponytail), and bright green eyes. His dad was about 6'2 with tan skin, short, jet black hair and brown eyes. I was snapped out of it when his mom ran over to me.

"I'm so glad to meet you. We are his parents. I'm Daisy, and this my husband, Danny." I smiled at her then she hugged me. I was taken by shock but hugged her shortly after. When we broke she looked even more happy then before.

Isaac's dad stepped forward and said, "Yes, I'm glad to meet you... And call me Danny not Mr. New Moon, ok?" I nodded when he finished. "Well I would love to talk, we can at dinner, but now, we have to introduce you to the pack."

"Um dad?" Isaac said and Mr. Danny looked at him to continue. "She is in our pack... Or was. Her father made her distant since her mother's death." When he finished, Mr. Danny just nodded.

"Oh, and may I ask who this little man is?" Mrs. Daisy asked.

I look at Kc in my arms and smile at him. "This is my brother, Kc." I said and she smiled. Isaac took my hand and brought me closer to the front of the little stage where a microphone was.

His parents spoke first, "Hello everyone, and thank you for coming. You all know our son, Isaac. He found his mate, and she will be moving back in with us. She had to be distant with the pack because her mom died and her dad hasn't been the same." When Mrs. Daisy finished Isaac stepped forward.

"This is Katie, and this is her little brother Kc. I would like you all to welcome them back with open arms. Their father has been abusive and will most likely try to come and get them back. We need to keep an eye out in case he tries anything." He said and there was a pause. "Thank you everyone for coming. You're dismissed." When he finished, we walked off stage and out of the dining hall. When we were about to go to his room, a lady stopped us. She looked in her mid-thirty's.

"Hello Isaac... And Katie. I'm Hanna." She said then looks at Kc. "I'm a teacher here for the little ones, and I was wondering if Kc wanted to join us?" I looked to Kc and he was smiling nodding his head. I kissed his forehead and set him down.

I swatted in front of him, "Kc, do you want to go with Mrs. Hanna and play with the other kids?" He nodded and I smiled. "Ok... Play nice and if you need me just whistle, ok?" I said and he hugged me tightly. I kissed his forehead before stand up.

Hanna smiled at me, "You're a good sister, you know that?" I just smiled back. She reached her hand out to Kc and he took it happily.

"Thank you." I said as they walked away. When they left, Isaac grabbed my hand and pulled me to his room.
