Disappointing

Writing, rewriting

do this, do that.

Jam yourself into

this prepackaged crack

or no one will want you.

Button turns green

I've done my part

nothing to do

but to wait.

Days pass and the texts come

they say they've released them.

We flock like birds

all apprehensive and

with a nervous flutter, trembling hands,

a click away and there it is.

Stomach drops, tears drip

heart stops, hopes fall.

There's nothing like

the face of

disappointment

staring back at you

as your fears grow tall.

Darker tone this time but I had to get some of my feelings out. Despite a great start to the day and a really fun time, I came back home to find something that caught me completely off guard. Really shook my view of the future.

Always happy to hear your thoughts.
