"You ready?"

Deku nodded. He was ready to go on his first ever mission with Stain, who was going on his daily routine to kill fake heroes in Hosu.

The sun had almost set, which in Stain's opinion, was the perfect time to go in for the kill. He leapt from building to building, occasionally pausing to let Deku catch up.

Before long, they found a pro hero, Native, patrolling in an alleyway, to which Stain responded by leaping down from the three story building, landing directly on the hero. Deku watched the fight from above, since he couldn't exactly leap down. Stain paralyzed the hero with his quirk before slowly torturing him, letting the pro scream in agony. Deku winced. He never liked torture, but it was part of being a villain. Sometimes you had to hurt others to achieve your goals.

Just as Stain was about to finish him off, another hero came racing in, nothing more than a blur. Stain must've seen the hero coming, because he deflected the hero's attack with one of his swords, keeping Native pinned down with the other. The hero was knocked to the ground, and Deku finally got a good look at his costume.

Deku blinked. This hero looked exactly like... Ingenium? No, he was younger, probably around Deku's age. Stain had also nearly killed Ingenium a few weeks ago. Still, he had an uncanny resemblance to Ingenium. Then it hit him.

He was Tenya Iida, from the UA sports festival. Ingenium's brother. Quirk: Engine. Has turbo engines in his legs that allow him to reach incredible speeds. Deku grinned, this was going to be interesting.

Stain licked the blood off the blade he had deflected Iida with, paralyzing him. Stain then stabbed the blade into his shoulder, making him scream even louder than Native had. This was going to attract more pros, that was for sure. Deku pulled up his hood and carefully climbed down the side of the building, leaping down when he was close enough.

"You might want to kill them now. More pros will be arriving soon."

Stain looked back at him, "yeah yeah."

Iida yelled even louder, "You! You injured my brother! He'll never walk again thanks to you! I'LL KILL YOU FOR WHAT YOU DID TO HIM!"

Stain pulled out the blade and kicked Iida in his injured shoulder, making him scream in pain. "I hate your type. Never thinking about others, only thinking of your own selfish gain."

Izuku looked away. This was wrong. Everything about this was wrong. He was just a kid, Stain couldn't kill him. But he still would. No matter what Izuku said. Still, wasn't Stain doing the right thing? This kid was a fake.

No.

Izuku closed his eyes shut, hoping, praying that a pro would come help. He opened his eyes before being knocked off his feet by a wall of fire. Wincing, he saw a tall, pissed off man towering over Stain. Endeavor. Pro hero. Quirk: Hellfire. Can manipulate fire so hot, you'd think it was literally from hell. Can burn himself if he goes over his limit.

Deku's instincts took over at that moment. He took cover behind a trash can, watching as Endeavor began fighting the hero killer. There was no way Stain could win. No way.

He couldn't let Stain lose though. He had to do something!

Doesn't he deserve it though? A little voice said at the back of his mind. He's killed tons of innocent people, and here he is now, about to kill this kid.

But he's the only person who accepted me! I can't just leave him!

Think about it you moron. If you try and help him, you'll be exposed as a villain. You'll probably go to jail, or if you're lucky, you'll go back home and see him again.

Deku looked back up at the fight, ignoring the voice. Stain was burned in several different places, fatigue clouding his eyes. He dragged his feet towards Endeavor, desperate to paralyze him, only to be blasted away with more flames.

"Bastard... you only want money and fame.. it's so clear in your cold, cold eyes. Maybe you should just die like this other fucking fake," Stain said, his words becoming slurred. "I actually have someone to protect and fight for, unlike you."

Izuku's eyes welled up with tears. He jumped up from behind the trash can, running towards Endeavor and screaming.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE YOU DAMN FOOL!" Izuku cried, picking up the trash can on his way and throwing it at Endeavor, who glared at him. Iida looked at Izuku, horrified.

"You're the missing kid! Izuku Midoriya!" Iida gasped. Izuku ignored him, taking one of the knives from Stain's sheathes and leapt towards Endeavor, stabbing him in the shoulder. Izuku sobbed. He stabbed Endeavor again.

"S-Stay away from him! STAY AWAY!" He yelled, shaking from head to toe. He dropped the knife, to which Stain crawled over and picked up, licking it. Endeavor froze, eyes widening in terror. Stain grinned.

"You did good kid," Stain chuckled, passing out. Deku fell to his knees, the shaking getting worse.

Iida looked at him, confused, "Why did you protect him? Don't you know he's killed so many innocent heroes?!"

Deku whirled back around to face him, a sudden kick of adrenaline. "I know! I know he's killed loads of heroes you idiot! But he did one thing none of you morons never did! HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO ACCEPTED ME FOR WHO I WAS!"

Iida looked at him, shocked. Deku stood up, walking over to the teen and picking him up by his shirt. "Why did you become a villain?" Iida whispered, looking into Deku's green eyes.

"I'm not a villain. I just protect those who actually accept my quirkless ass, villain or not. And another thing: it's not Izuku Midoriya. I left that name a long time ago. I'm Deku from now on," he snarled. Even though he was much shorter and scrawnier than Iida, he was still extremely intimidating. Deku sneered and slowly let Iida back down, careful not to hurt his injured shoulder.

He turned back to Stain, who had regained his consciousness... somewhat. He looked at Deku, smiling. He took Deku's hand and placed the bloody knife in it, closing Deku's fingers firmly around it.

"Go. You don't need me anymore."

"I'm not leaving without you," Deku said firmly. Stain frowned.

"Then we'll both get arrested kiddo. Go, you still have your whole life ahead of you. I'm the one who fucked mine up. Just live your dreams already dammit. I hate this stupid catchphrase but I know you love it. Go beyond, plus ultra!"

Izuku started tearing up again, throwing his arms around the villain. Stain winced, but smiled. "Promise me you'll become a hero one day."

"I-I promise."

"There's a good boy. Now go, Endeavor's time is almost up, as well as that Ingenium bastard."

Izuku nodded, then took off further into the alley, bloody knife still in his hand.

That's a wrap folks.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long, school's a bitch and I've been depressed as hell. I'm also sick, so I had more time to write than usual.

Anyway, hope you liked the chapter, remember to go beyond: plus ultra!
