(Back above the Opera House)
The strongest men bring in the most biggest tree they could chop down and bring into the Opera House. Everyone was at awed when the tree came in. "Where would you like it, Ms. Daae?" One of the men asked Christine. "In the center. Not above the stairs but right here." Christine answered as she places the tree stand. The men look where she wants it and they do as she asked and untie the tree letting it bloom. Everyone applauded as they went back to the decorating. "Alright, pretty soon, let's get the ornaments on." Christine tells everyone. "I do hope nothing horrible comes to this holiday from him." She said quietly. "Oh, Christine. You don't have to worry about anything." Meg assured her friend. "But I know a certain g-h-o-s-t is not very fond of this holiday. He even commands that Christmas is not allowed in his opera house. But I believe, with my way, he can come around to love Christmas." Christine reminded Meg. "Well, if I know that ghost, Christine, he probably would allow it because it's your favorite holiday. Unless a certain R-a-o-u-l intervenes and angers the ghost's hopes and dreams." Meg reminded her friend. "Meg, Raoul is not here plus, Raoul doesn't stay with us during Christmas. He usually is off with his parents visiting family members as the month goes by." Christine tells her friend. "So you and the Phantom are alone on this holiday?" Meg asked surprisingly. "Yes, Meg. But I am not alone. I have you, my dear friend." Christine tells her. Meg smiles and hugs her. "Ahem." Madame Giry cleared her throat making her presence known. Both young ladies stand before her. "I do have a message from the Opera Ghost." Meg's mother explained. All the workers around the theatre stopped to listen. "What did he say, Mother?" Meg asked her.
"Even though he has forbidden Christmas to ever be in his Opera House, he is allowing it this time. And he will like Christine Daae to make sure this sacred place he calls home a perfect holiday as long as he is not involved. So, to all of us, let the yuletide celebration commence." Madame Giry explained. Everyone cheered and applauded and got back to work. "Wow, Christine. You truly have gotten through his senses." Meg said to her friend. "Yeah. I guess I did. I didn't mean to make it very personal to him." Christine tells her. "I even told him that you want to give him the perfect Christmas." Madame Giry tells the young singer. "Did he believed you?" Christine asked the ballet corps director. "My child, ever since he lay eyes on you, he would do anything to make you happy and he is allowing us to finally celebrate Christmas here because of his love for you." Madame Giry tells her. "He's letting me celebrate Christmas here?" Christine asked surprisingly. "Yes." Madame Giry simply answered. "Then it is settled. This year is not only the 1st Christmas for the Opera Populaire, but it will be the 1st Christmas for The Phantom of the Opera. and it will be a holiday experience he will never forget." Christine tells them. "Are you sure it's a good idea?" Meg warned her. "Meg, The Phantom has a very soft spot and weakness when it comes to Christine. Let her do this and who knows? Maybe it might warm his dark heart for the first time since he has been here." Her mother says to the young ballerina. She simply nodded and went off to help decorate more around the theatre. Christine was smiling all day long during the festive decorating knowing that nothing could ever ruin the moment.
But what Christine doesn't know is that in the shadowy corners of the main entrance lies a mole and that mole happens to be the former leading soprano and prima donna to the opera hosue, Signora Carlotta. She always had a hatred to Ms. Daae and would do anything to get her title back as the leading soprano and leading lady roles. "So, that little brat thinks since she is now the main lady, she can do whatever she wants at that this suppose phantom is allowing her to bring Christmas to his theatre. Well, il mio nemico, if it's war you want, then war you shall have and may the best soprano win. With a little help from il tuo amato." Carlotta said to herself with a smirk on her face. She then had her lover, Ubaldo Piangi, had a message delivered to Raoul urging him to come to the Paris Opera House to see what his beloved Christine has done. "This will truly be the worst Christmas ever for both her and her beloved Phantom."
