Until Later

Our time here is short and full of trouble,
Filled with pain we can sometimes hardly bare,
For those good and sweet souls,
There is promise of something after,
The loving embrace of our Holy Father.

Soar with the angels my friend,
Rest now as your pain is at an end,
Everlasting joy and tear free days await you now,
In the presence of our mighty God,
Worry not for the living,
For we will be reunited,
As God calls us each to our eternal home.

Death holds a sting for those left behind,
Yet through the tears there is joy,
A joy that we will see you again,
A joy that your pain is finally done.

You wouldn't want us to cry for you,
Or for us to mourn this day,
You would want us to remember you,
With a mischievous smile upon your face,
Remember the way you were before,
Not the you before us now.
