The commotion outside the chapel was enough to distract Mary's prayers but not once did she look up. She was kneeling before the crucifix praying the Hail Mary like never before. What started as a snippets of her imagination turned out to be real life day mare.

"Hail Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and..." she whimpered as the cold she usually felt during her nightmare engulfed her again. "Hail Mary." she screamed unable to control the surging energy pushing her through the portals.

"Damn it." she flung the rosary, finding her feet as she made for the doors.

The double barrelled doors of the church was within sight but out of reach as each step towards it was like three backwards. Another scream erupted from her as she felt something cold wrap her feet pulling her down with a thud.

~~~
This was the third time she was having this vision. The fall she had, had no impact on her as it merely paved way for her transportation. She hated this astral travel but then again there was nothing she could do about it, same with her visions.
The visions which stopped for a month after her first encounter when she resumed the school suddenly came back and this time with the traveling. Who would believe a fifteen year old girl could astral travel without being a witch- no one.
The fog before her begin to clear and she could see once again. She was still within the walls of the school but this time outside the chapel. It was still break time and students were mingling with each other, the younger students running around. If not for some students which feet were above the ground you'll think everyone was human. Yes there were ghosts in the vicinity and most were students.
"If I were you, I'd leave," a voice whispered behind her making the hairs on her neck stand.
"Who. Are. You?" She chose her words carefully.
"Your worst nightmare," a multitude of voices replied, disappearing into thin air with a giggle.
All the above surface students turned to face her with blank expressions on their not available face saying the same words, "Leave while you can."
She shook her head wondering how she could hear them. They had no face meaning no mouth, she shook her head thinking she was going crazy before realizing it. They were not speaking, they were projecting. Adding to her list of possess abilities, telepathy was now one of them.
"I hear spirits now." She gawked in fear.
~~~

"Mary, Mary." Stella nudged her. A crowd was beginning to form outside the chapel and few students already got access to the chapel before the chaplain arrived. "Mary."

"I hear spirits now." She repeated, earning a laughing spree from students within.

"No Mary. It's me, Stella."

"Ugh!!" Mary grunted as her eyes opened slightly. "I'm not dead."

"No you're not. You tripped and fell." The Chaplain lied.

"Tripped?" A junior student reasoned loudly.

"That will be all. You may all exit the chapel. Stella, Jade assist her."

"Yes sir." Jade assisted her in lifting a very weak Mary.

Her face in a grimace as she thought, why had the Chaplain lied? Almost everyone around the chapel heard the loud thud but that led to another set of questions. Why wasn't she wounded? If the loud thud wasn't her what was that? And finally why was she so weak?
