Ch. 11 Sick or Nerves

Jordyn POV
Two days after rehearsals, I began to not feel so good. I felt so sick that today I didn't want to get out of bed.

Kirstin: Does your stomach still hurt?
Jordyn: Yes mommy.
Kirstin: Kevin and Avi are on their way. Let me take your temperature.

Mommy takes my temperature.

Kirstin: It's still high.

Kirstin POV
I feel so bad for Jordyn. I hate seeing her sick.
Avi texted me and told me that him and Kevin are here. I told them they can come in. They come in Jordyn's room.

Avi: Hey guys.
Kirstin: Hey.
Kevin: How is she?
Kirstin: Her stomach still hurts and she has a high fever.
Kevin: Jordyn, on a scale of one to ten how bad does your stomach hurt?
Jordyn: Like an 8.
Kevin: Okay, did something she eat cause her to feel bad?
Kirstin: I don't think so. We ate chicken parm last night for dinner.
Avi: Could it be nerves?
Kevin: It could be that. Are you nervous for tour?
Jordyn: Yeah.
Kevin: It's okay to be nerves. But I think we should take to the hospital.
Kirstin: Let's go
Kevin: I'll drive.

So Kevin picks up Jordyn and sits her in the back of the car with me and Avi. I text Scott and Mitch that we are at the hospital.
A few minutes later we arrived at the ER.

Kevin POV
Soon as we made it to the ER, I go up to the nurse for help. They take Jordyn and put her on a stretcher and take her to a room. We are in there with her as the examine her. A few minutes later Scott and Mitch arrive.

Kirstin: What's wrong with her?
Doctor: She has nerves and acid reflux. Sometimes it causes it stomach ache. It can also cause to not have an appetite and a bit of a high fever.
Kevin: She's nervous about tour.
Doctor: It's normal to be nervous.
Avi: Will she be okay?
Doctor: Oh yeah. It doesn't take long for her to be back to normal. I'll have a stomach reliving medication for her to take for 10 days with something to eat. Also, try introducing her to new foods that are like gluten free, organic, like that.
Mitch: I can take care of that.
Doctor: Also, find ways for her to reduce her stress.
Scott: I can help with that.
Jordyn: So I'm okay?
Doctor: Yes you are. You can go home soon as your temperature drops back to normal.
Kevin: What is it now?
Doctor: It's at 101. We need to get it down to normal body temperature.
Kirstin: Oh no.
Doctor: Don't worry we'll get it down in no time. I'll be right back with her medicine.

Kirstin POV
I felt so bad for Jordyn. I felt like that I'm not being a good mom. I had to step out of the room for a minute and I just cried.

Avi POV
Kirstin stepped out of the room and we have no idea why.

Mitch: Kirstie? What's wrong with her?
Scott: I don't know. She did leave a bit upset.
Avi: I'll talk to her. Keep Jordyn company.
Kevin: We'll do bro.

I go out of the room and I find Kirstin crying.

Avi: Kirstie? What's wrong?
Kirstin: Nothing.
Avi: Come on. I know it's not nothing.
Kirstin: I feel like I'm a bad mom to Jordyn.
Avi: What? That's not true. You are a great mom.
Kirstin: Avi, she's in the hospital. I feel like I'm not doing anything right.

I just grab Kirstin and just hug her.

Avi: It's gonna be okay. You are an amazing mom. I've seen how you two are together. There is never a dull moment. You are a great person Kirstie.

I kiss her forehead.
Wait!!! What?! Why did I do that?

Kirstin POV
Avi is making me feel so much better. The fact that he kissed my forehead was a shocker. Then, we go back to the room with everyone.

Kevin: Are you okay?
Kirstin: Yeah I'm fine.

The doctor walks in and gives Jordyn her medicine.

Jordyn: Ewww.
Doctor: I know, but this is gonna make you feel better. Make sure she takes this with water after eating. She only has to take one a day.

After about an hour, Jordyn's temperature dropped back to normal. Then, we all went home. So now I have to change what I feed her which wouldn't be a problem. I'm just glad she's okay.
