Ch. 16 Oh Chicago!!

Kirstin POV
I can't believe that Avi wants to hangout. Don't get me wrong we've hung out before, but this feels like a different hangout. I have that feeling inside me.
So I went to the lobby to meet up with him and he's already there.

Avi: Hey.
Kirstin: Hey.
Avi: You ready to go?
Kirstin: Yes.

So we caught a cab to go wherever we are going.

Kirstin: Where are we going?
Avi: It's a surprise.
Kirstin: Ugh. You are no fun.
Avi: Hahahahahahaha.

So after about a 30 minute cab ride we made it.

Kirstin: Woah. Where are we?
Avi: This is where the Chicago Skydeck is at.
Kirstin: No way. Come let's go!

I grab Avi by his hand and we go inside the building to go the the skydeck.
Once we got off the elevator I was in awe.

Kirstin: This is amazing.
Avi: Come on.

We walk over to the sky deck and we could see all of Chicago.

Kirstin: This is incredible.

Then, I look down and I got scared. I almost fell backward, but Avi caught me. My face is so red because he has his hands on my waist.

Avi: What's wrong?
Kirstin: Oh.....ummmm...I-I'm a bit scared of heights.
Avi: Oh I'm sorry. I've should've known. We can leave if you want.
Kirstin: No. It's fine. I shouldn't look down. I just want to take in this view.
Avi: Don't worry I got you.

Avi wraps his arms around my waist. And it felt right. He's being so sweet.
After a while, we left there and went to Cloud Gate.

Kirstin: Avi!! Take a picture of me pretending to hold it!!

Avi POV
Kirstin hands me her phone and she gets in position for the picture. I take several of her.

Kirstin: Thanks Avi. Let's take a selfie.

So we take a selfie. I'm having so much fun with Kirstin. We are laughing and talking.

Avi: I got one more place to show you before I take you to lunch.
Kirstin: Okay.

We get in another cab to the next place. A few minutes later we are there. I think I have Kirstin speechless.

Avi: This is a first. Kirstin Maldonado is speechless.
Kirstin: Oh shut up.

We both laughed.

Kirstin: This is so beautiful.

In my mind I'm thinking not as beautiful as you.

Avi: It really is.

We stand there a few more minutes looking at the fountain and we did take pictures.

Kirstin POV
Soon Avi and I left to go get lunch at a local pizza restaurant.

Kirstin: I had so much fun today. Thank you Avi.
Avi: No problem. I thought that hanging out would be cool with you.
Kirstin: It was fine. I had a blast.

As we are eating I could tell that something was on his mind.

Kirstin: Avi are you okay?
Avi: Yeah. Why?
Kirstin: You seem a bit nervous.

Avi POV
That's because I am. It's now or never.

Avi: Kirstie, there's something I need to tell you.

I take a deep breath and take Kirstin by her hands.

Avi: Kirstie, I've known you and we have been friends for a long time. And I don't think that I can't hold this in any longer because if I do it would kill me inside. The thing is.....I-I like you. A lot.

Kirstin POV
My heart is racing so fast. Did Avi Kaplan say he likes me?!

Kirstin: What?
Avi: I like you a lot. There is something about you that drives me crazy. You have an amazing heart, an amazing voice, an amazing personality, and you are very beautiful.

Yep. I'm blushing. Now I'm really speechless.

Avi: I hope you feel the same way. If you don't, then I don't want this to change our friendship.

So now it's my move. I was literally thinking about wanting to tell Avi how I feel, but it's like now I have to. Right?

Kirstin: Avi, I like you too.
Avi: Really?
Kirstin: Yeah, but I was so scared to tell you. I just love how much of a good person you are. You are amazing. I have to admit you are cute.

We both laughed.

Kirstin: But I honestly like you a lot too. Your smile, personality, eyes, and hair.
Avi: The man bun.
Kirstin: Haha. The man bun.

Avi POV
I feel relived.

Avi: How about this? When we go back to LA I take you on a date.
Kirstin: I would like that.

We lean in to kiss each other and one of our phones bing.

Avi: Someone had to ruin the moment.

Kirstin laughs at me.

I check my phone and it's Kevin.

**Text Messages**
Kevin: Hey Romeo, after ur date bring everyone some pizza we are having a sleepover
Avi: I will. And don't call me Romeo. And are Kirstie and I included
Kevin: Yeah.
Avi: Okay see u guys soon

Kevin definitely has to owe me for this.

Kirstin: What is it?
Avi: Kevin, Mitch, Scott, and Jordyn are having a sleepover and they want us to bring them pizza.
Kirstin: Well, let's get them some pizza. Are we gonna tell everyone the news about us?
Avi: If you want to.
Kirstin: As long as they keep it a secret, we should be fine.
Avi: Good deal.

So we ordered the pizza and we took a cab back to the hotel. I wonder how everyone will take the news about Kirstin and I.
