Ch. 23 Dream About Mom

Jordyn POV
So after Lauren hanging out with us it was soon time for my bed time.
I took a shower, put on my PJs, and went to bed.
I fell fast asleep. As I was sleeping, I began to dream. I'm back at the orphanage, but it looked different and no one else is there. I feel scared.

Jordyn: Hello? Is anyone here?

Then I hear a voice.

Unknown: I'm here.

I turn around and before my eyes is my biological mother.

Jordyn: Mama? Is that you?
Linda: It's me sweetheart.

My eyes filled with tears and I just ran and hug her.

Jordyn: Oh mama.
Linda: Hi sweetie. Look at how beautiful you are.
Jordyn: I can't believe it's you.
Linda: It's me alright.
Jordyn: Why are here at the orphanage? What's going on?
Linda: Hahaha. Oh sweetie, the things that you don't know.
Jordyn: Can you tell me?
Linda: Anything you wanna know.
Jordyn: Okay, is it true that you put me in an orphanage because you was scared something would happen to me?
Linda: Yes it is true. You see your biological father that I had an affair with was a good man. He treated me better than my husband did. We understood each other. And when I found out I was pregnant with you, I was afraid that my husband would find out because you would have been in danger and I didn't wanna risk it. So I left him with your sister Lauren.
Jordyn: So it wasn't because you didn't want me?
Linda: Of course not. I really wanted to keep you, but if my husband found out about you I would have lost you.

Everything makes a lot of sense now.

Linda: But I watched you grow up from afar. And I was happy about how you have become. You have grown into a smart, talented, beautiful girl. But I'm even more happy that you did get adopted into a new family.
Jordyn: Really?
Linda: Yes I am. Kirstie and the rest of the Pentatonix band is taking extremely good care of you. And that makes me happy to see that you are happy.
Jordyn: How do you know this?
Linda: I'm always watching you from above. Just know even though I'm gone, it doesn't mean that I'll never leave your heart. You will always be my little girl.
Jordyn: So you like my new mama?
Linda: Like her? I love her. Not only does she have a beautiful voice, but has an amazing soul. She's a good woman.

I hug mama again. Then, we hear a bell ring.

Jordyn: What's happening?
Linda: It's time for me to go and for you to wake up.
Jordyn: What?

I began to tear up.

Linda: Don't cry my sweet baby. Everything is okay. I'll always be in your heart and I'll be watching you from above. I love you.
Jordyn: I love you too.

Mama fades away. I open my eyes and it's morning. I look around me. I can't stop thinking about my dream. Then, I hear a knock on my door.

Jordyn: Come in.

Mama walks in with Olaf. She sits on my bed.

Kirstin: Morning baby girl.
Jordyn: Morning mama.
Kirstin: How did you sleep?
Jordyn: I slept good. I had a dream last night.
Kirstin: What was it about?
Jordyn: I saw my real mama.

Kirstin POV
Wait what? Okay, I don't know what to do at this point. But I might as well ask her what happened.

Kirstin: What happened in the dream?

She tells me everything and didn't leave out one detail. I am amazed and I have to believe her.

Kirstin: She said all of that.
Jordyn: She did. She's happy for me and she's happy that I have a new family.

I hug her.

Kirstin: Oh sweetie. I know your mom is smiling down on you. And I'm proud of you too.
Jordyn: Thanks mama.
Kirstin: Come on, let's get you ready. We are gonna be hanging out with the band today.
Jordyn: Yay!!!!

Jordyn POV
So I go get ready for today. We met up with the band for breakfast. I tell them about my dream and they were amazed. The whole day we had a blast. We went to the mall and it was amazing.
On our way back home, we made a stop to Lauren's house.

Lauren: Whats up guys?
Kirstin: I have a little something for you and Jordyn and I want you two to open it together.

Mama hands me a small box and Lauren a small box. We both open our boxes and it's a locket.

Lauren: This is so beautiful, but you didn't have to do that.
Kirstin: That's not just the half. Open up the locket.

We open it and it's a picture of our mom.

Lauren and Jordyn: OMG!!
Lauren: I don't know what to say.
Kirstin: Avi and I came up with the idea. So when we were at the mall today and while Kevin, Mitch, and Scott was keeping Jordyn occupied we bought it for you guys.
Jordyn: Thanks mama.
Lauren: Thank you so much Kirstie.

We did a group hug. So now I know that my biological mom will always be close to my heart.
