CH. 16

"Nana"

I opened my eyes to a sobbing Yona and Jadira by my side. I lifted myself up and groaned from the pain of my wound.

"Don't do that! Your wound hasn't fully healed yet." Yun scolded and forced me back down gently. "Alright, alright, mom." I joked and laid back down.  Tears dropped onto my hand and I looked back at  Yona. 

"Nana, I'm so sorry. I-I never meant to h-hurt you! I'm sorry, you can hit me if I-it makes you feel better." She blabbered on and on. I hushed her and held her hands. I gestured for her to come closer and she did.  She closed her eyes and waited for me to hit her but was surprised when I did something else.  I wiped away her tears and gently bumped our foreheads together.

"I could never get angry at you, you're like my little sister. " I told her. She pouted with big tears in her eyes and hugged me. "Nana, I don't deserve you!"

Soon enough, everyone began leaving the room to go party.  It was only Yoon, Jadira and I left. "So Yoon?" I asked as I slowly got up.

"Yeah?" He responded.

"You were the one who treated my wounds right," I said and he nodded. "And I don't even get a thank you? Just how rude----"

He stopped mid-sentence as I engulfed him into a hug. The boy was shorter than me by a few centimeters. "Thank you," I said. "Without your help I probably wouldn't have survived. I'm in your debt now."

From my peripheral vision, I could notice Yoon blushing slightly. He huffed and then hugged me back slowly. "I guess you're welcome.."

Gosh, he blushes so easily. Just like a girl.

I was following Yona secretly to surprise her but she was really walking far away from the ship.  She turned a corner and I was about to surprise her but once I had also turned the corner, the scene that was in front of me surprised me greatly. It was Yona and...Soo Won.  Yona was on the ground and staring at the older man.  Soo Won seemed genuinely surprised to see Yona. It was quiet until I broke the silence. Soo Won and Yona both looked instantly at me.

"Nana..." They both said simultaneously.

"This is a dream...right..?" Soo Won muttered as he shifted his glance between us.  "I heard you had died on the cliffs of the northern mountains..."

He noticed Yona trembling and stopped. "You really are Princess Yona...aren't you?" 

I rushed over to Yona, scared of what was going to happen next. I grabbed Yona into my arms and blocked her from Soo Won. "What if she is?" I asked.

He looked at me with blank eyes. "Nana..how have you been?" 

I stared at him. "Is it true.." 

"Is it true that you murdered King II with your own hands and blamed it on Hak along with Yona's disappearance?" I asked with a loud voice.  I wasn't joking with him. I was serious about this issue.  Just what happened in the time I was gone? Our long years of friendship ruined in a night..? It just didn't seem right.
