"From now on, the villages in this area are territory of the Dark Dragon and the Happy Hungry Bunch. I'm thinking we should greet you all for a bit." Yona declared.

Though despite claiming to be bandits, the actions of the Dark Dragon and the Happy Hungry Bunch were far from negative. Albeit a little harshly, the so called bandits ordered for the taxes the officers took to be locked away in a chest. They gave out candy to the children of the village. And cleaned up the mishaps here and there. Those actions repeated as they plundered multiple villages.

After more arguing, it was decided that Yona, Nawu, Jadira and Shin-ha would stay behind while the others took off to the next village.

As the blue-haired man practiced his swordsmanship in front of the princess, Nawu could only stare at the two with an unknown feeling welling up inside of her. Perhaps it was due to the fact that Yona was now growing up.

"Mommy! Carry me, please?" Jadira asked sweetly with big, expecting eyes.

With a smile, Nawu did as asked and asked not continued to stare at the two as Jadira blabbered to her. She continued to silently look over the two as they had a touching conversation about Shin-ha's past. Honestly, at one point, Nawu wanted to comfort the insecure young man but Yona has already taken that step so it was unnecessary for her to do so.

Nawu wondered if she should have just let them be or interrupt them, but alas she stayed silent. She watched as the village's children played with Shin-ha and childishly stole his sword and frolicked away.

A vision of one of the boys lying on the ground, motionless and bleeding flashed through Nawu's brain. And another scene of the mother of the boy crying.

"What was that?" Nawu questioned at the weird image.

"Something's not right." Nawu muttered to herself, a creepy, unsettling feeling arousing in her.

"Jadira, be a good girl and run along to Shin-ha. I've got something to take care of." Nawu quickly asked as the younger girl simply nodded before innocently skipping along to the blue dragon.

Nawu was quick with her feet and soon caught up to the two boys, who were being threatened by bandits. Real bandits.

"I knew something was wrong!" Nawu cursed under her breath as she interfered.

"Young ones!" Nawu shouted and the two boys looked back at her, confused. "Retreat and hide behind me! Right now!"

"Huh?" The black haired one muttered.

"What is she talking about?" The blond one asked.

"Listen to what I say!"

The two boys though rather confused ran to her. Nawu quickly took the sword from the black haired boy's hands and ushered them to run and hide. To which the two did.

Nawu wasn't exactly a master at swordsmanship but she had down the basics. Although that wouldn't exactly be enough to defeat a group of bandits.

"Now, now pretty lady. Let's not make a fuss here, alright?" A scarred bandit cooed as he walked up close to Nawu.

Nawu let out a faint smirk as she whispered, "Never let your guard down, dear sir."

She quickly plunged the sword into the bandit's guts, piercing through his abdomen as a flood of red liquid leaked profusely out of the man's body. In a fit of shock and pain, the bandit cursed at Nawu.

Nawu pulled out the sword which was drenched in the bandit's blood and knocked him out by elbowing a pressure point on his neck.

Nawu had to stall for as long as she could. She was sure that those kids earlier would be smart enough to inform Yona or Shin-ha of the icky situation.

Pulling up her sleeves, Nawu gripped the handle of the sword firmly as another bandit charged at her. She blocked his attack with the sword and used her feet to sweep the man off his own feet. The man lost balance and fell to the floor. Though he was quite smart.

He pulled Nawu's ankles, causing her to drop to the ground as well. As Nawu fell to the ground, another bandit lunged at her. In panic, Nawu attacked the man and pierced through his chest. The bandit fell and Nawu used the weight of the bandit and slammed it at the bandit who laid on the floor clutching her ankles.

She freed herself from the man's clutch but lost her shoes in the process. Now barefoot, Nawu faced the annoyed expressions of several other bandits.

"Well, at least I'm finally getting a workout," Nawu laughed at her situation.

Nawu wasn't exactly the best at fighting nor did she dwell to much on it. She didn't exactly like blood. Don't misunderstand. Nawu didn't dislike blood because she was taking the life of another. She disliked blood because it was rather hard to wash off her clothes.

Nawu is not exactly a saint but that doesn't mean she's a psychopath who will kill anyone. There's only one thing that goes through Nawu's mind.

If they bothered you to a certain extent, then it was completely fine to take actions.

So with that said, Nawu was ready.

To fucking massacre them.

Being the daughter of a merchant has its perks. She was well versed in negotiating. But better than that, Nawu was skilled in self-defense.

So although fighting a whole crew of bandits was going to be a tough situation for Nawu, it wasn't completely impossible.

First, if there are more people on the opposing side, find a wall. That way you can insure that at least someone won't attack you from behind.

Nawu quickly ran to the front of a house, pointing Shin-ha's swords at the bandits. She had only taken care of five, there were still about ten to fifteen more to go.

Second, a weapon is always better than fighting with your hands. When fighting, it's not about whose the strongest, it's about whose the smartest. A sword limited her movement but it was her only weapon currently.

And third, if it's in your favor, play dirty. Fighting has no set rules.

As two bandits charged at Nawu, she scooped up some sand and threw it at them, temporarily blinding them. In the heat of the moment, Nawu launched herself from a tree stump and flew above the two men. She stabbed one in the shoulder then with her free hand, poked the other one in the eyes. She set herself off from the two men and slashed both their backs.

"Two more down..." Nawu counted.

Another bandit came at Nawu. They clashed their weapons at each other. As Nawu was occupied, another bandit had taken this opportunity. He swung his sword as he ran towards Nawu. She ducked and crouched down, causing the two men to accidentally inflict harm on each other. Though she avoided being attacked, the man had slightly grazed her arm.

"Oh my...." Nawu groaned in frustration as she saw her sleeves reddening and a pain in her right arm.

"This is going to be a little troubling."
