chapter fourteen: end

[two years, eight months later...]

the sun flew its soft rays through the window of the now shared apartment of the two lovers. the golden rays interrupted their slumbers.

jeongguk squirmed a little bit, moving his hand to brush the hair out of taehyung's eyes.

"i love you so much," he said, in his grunty morning voice. he moved his hand back, suddenly feeling arms wrap around his waist pulling him closer.

"you're silly, kookie."

they laid like that for another three hours.

a huge clang coming from downstairs made jeongguk snap out of it, fast.

"TAEHYUNG WAKE UP THERE'S SOMEONE IN OUR HOUSE!!"

"kook, wha-"

the younger hopped of the bed, tactically, and reached for a potential.... weapon? he ended up with a febreze bottle in his hands, hung over his shoulder like a baseball bat.

"calm down," said the now redhead, former blonde. he groaned as he stood up out of bed, "there's no one. mozart probably just knocked something over."

yes, they now had a cat named mozart.

both of the boys tiptoed downstairs, wearing nothing but boxers, jeongguk with a t-shirt on.

mozart slept soundly on the couch, and there seemed to be no trace of anything.

"are you sure you weren't dreaming or something..?" taehyung asked, holding back a wave of laughter.

"i'm positive! i wasn't even sleeping earlier!"

taehyung stepped forward, and to his surprise, felt a lego under his foot. the most excruciating pain known to man.

"ow, what the fuck!? we don't even have legos here!"

a weird hiccupy laugh went drifting through the room.

"...kookie was that you?"

"no, i don't sound like a windshield when i lau-," an overwhelmed shriek of realization escaped his lips.

"JINNIE?!!?"

just like that, a bunch of boys slowly stood up from behind the couch facing opposite of the couple.

"surprise!"

on the spot, jeongguk started crying and ran to them all. but his boyfriend stood, smugly smiling.

"namjoon, jinnie, hobi... i missed all of you guys so much!!!" he choked his words out, while the elder held him close.

namjoon raised his hands, showing a mini sculpture of legos, that looked like a box, and handed it over to the red-haired boy.

a rosy blush came over taehyung, as he bit his lip, and looked his lover in the eyes.

he slowly sunk down until one knee set down on the plush carpet of their living room.

"jeon jeongguk... will you-," the febreze hit the floor, and a stream of even more happy tears ran down the brunette's cheeks.

"-marry me?"

jeongguk couldn't do anything, his head nodded yes frantically, and he bareled onto taehyung, kissing him over and over again.

"yes yes yes yes yes!!!!!"

taehyung laughed, pulling him and his lover up, sitting on the floor together. he opened the crappy Lego box, revealing the ring itself.

"oh my- wow.."

the ring was a thick gold band, with diamonds dotting around through it, making it look like a sky full of stars.

the ring was slid on to his finger, and a massive amount of whooping erupted from the friends next to the couch.

they all came into a group hug.

"i told you there was gonna be a wedding," said jin.
