An hour later Stiles and I were at the food court waiting for Mia. She had decided she was still hungry, and I wanted a Milkshake. Mia had mostly gotten leather jackets, skinny jeans, and tank-tops. She had decided she wanted some makeup, and the stuff I had was to natural for her. She had picked out a few crop-tops for me, along with some high heels.

"Having fun?" I asked Stiles, giggling.

He glared at me. Mia had made him carry all our bags while we were shopping, and they had gotten really heavy. "I should've listened to you when you said not to come."

"Hey, at least we are getting milkshakes! And if you want I'll take a few bags."

  "You sure?"

"Just give me some before I change my mind."

Stiles gave me two of the six bags he was carrying, "Thanks."

"What are friends for." I told him, but I couldn't get rid of the feeling I wanted to be something more than friends. To bad Stiles had said he already had a crush on somebody.

"Yeah... friends," He said sounding disappointed.

  "What's wrong?"

  "What do you mean?"

"Earlier you were saying something, then stopped, and now you're sounding really disappointed about something."

  "It's— it's nothing."

"Stiles! Please just tell me. You were saying something in the house, and then when I told you I wasn't paying attention you immediately took it back."

"Don't worry about it. Isn't like you'll actually care anyway."

I nearly missed what he said at the end, but I managed to hear it. "Stiles..."

He looked me in the eye, and I got trapped in them, not moving a muscle. I noticed every single mole on his face and the way his hazel eyes seemed to sparkle with mischief, but also held his broken past. His lips parted slight, and he started to lean in. I followed his movement. We nearly had any space between us now, and I closed my eyes ready for his lips to touch mine. I slowly opened my eyes when it never came, and saw Stiles lips nearly touching mine, but then he jerked backward.

He looked at apologetically and I opened my mouth to speak, but Mia came back with our drinks.

"Vanilla for Katy, Chocolate for Stiles, and a burger and fries for me," She sang.

We took the drinks out of her hands and started to sip them.

"Thanks Mia," I thanked her, avoiding the feeling in my stomach from Stiles nearly kissing me.

  "Yeah, thanks," Stiles muttered.

Mia narrowed her eyes at us, "Okay, what happened between you two? A few minutes ago Stiles teaching you the lyrics of 'Shake it Off' and now you're barely looking each other in the eye."

"Nothing happened Mia," I told her. I knew something had definitely just happened, but I needed to figure out exactly what it was.

"Yeah, sure..." I told Mia everything. She was probably upset that I wasn't telling her what had just happened.

"Um... so what other stores are we going to?" Stiles asked, breaking the tension that was building.

"Well I need a phone so, unward peasants!" When we didn't move, she looked at us annoyed. "Well, get moving. You actually expect me to know where the stores are?"

I sighed, glanced at Stiles, though he was refusing to look at me, and started walking toward the Verizon store.
