The kiss gave me chills.

It wasn't forceful or rough but just simply beautiful.

Just the way he gently touched my cheek and held me in his arms made me feel free.

I absolutely felt no pressure at all.

It was honestly the first time I felt so comfortable kissing someone.

The kiss was deep and long.

Like a waterfall...

I gently pushed myself away from Derek and he did the same.

I was vagely aware of people giggling and smirking and whistleing.

But I ignored it all and headed to the kitchen.

I needed to cool down.

I poured myself a cup of ice cold water and leaned on the kitchen counter.

"Thirsty?"

I nearly spat out my water in surprise as I looked up to see Derek in the kitchen with me.

How long had he been in here?

When did I get so clueless?

Probably when he kissed you/blew your mind to heart shaped pieces.

"You ok?"

For some reason I don't think he was talking about me nearly choking on my water.

I cleared my throat and gave him a wobbily smile, "I'm fine,"

"Well that's not really an answer, Chris,"

I frowned, when had he started to call me that?

It wasn't unusual though, several people call me Chris.

It's usually my family though.

I focused on what he told me, "What do you mean? That is an answer,"

"Not really, it doesn't do much in the descriptive department," He said with a sly smile.

"Why not?"

"Your the writer, you should know,"

I chuckled, "Your rediculous, I bet you don't even know the answer,"

Derek cocked an eyebrow at me, "Sure I don't, do you want a drop home?"

I blinked twice at his abrupt question.

"Yeah, that would be nice, thank you,"

Derek smiled and led me to the back door of the house.

He pulled out his keys from his jeans pocket and we walked quickly to the car, the gravel crunching loudly beneath our feet.

Before my brain could fully process what was going I was in Dereks' car and he had already started to pull away from the house.

I was insane, why did I think he would drive like a normal human being?

He drived like a mad man, like he only had five minutes to make it to my house.

I held on tightly to my seat and triwd to focus on what I had for breakfast this morning.

I felt my stomach churn at the thought.

Breakfast- not a good idea.

Derek turned the radio on and a famaliar song played.

It was Starlight by Muse.

I sighed and loosened my grip on the seat.

"You like this song?" Derek asked, the surprise clear in his voice.
