The Trevor of today was not the same Trevor of usual. He was sweet, nice, funny...and watching boys with little kids is just the most adorable thing ever.
Maybe those tutor sessions won't be as bad as I thought... I was about to tell myself that we could maybe even be friends, but no it won't happen. I can't stand being friends with those kind of people.I was just laying in my bed, listening to music. I picked my outfit for tomorrow and prepared my bag (A/N : the outfit is in the external link go check it out please !!^.^) then I just laid down and fell asleep.
Today was tuesday. I woke up, took a shower, all those stuff and headed down to see Olivia waiting for me in her car, as usual.
First class started. Mrs. Deep's class. So Trevor was next to me.
"Hey are you free tonight ?" he asked me.
"I can't tutor you, I have to tutor another student."
"You do ?" he said, surprised.
"Yes."
"Who's he ?"
"Eric. He's in his second year here."
"Oh is he the guy with hedgehog hair that smells like meat ???" he told.
Surprised by that, I let out a laugh.
"What ? He doesn't smell like meat..."
"He does."
"Actually I never got to smell him... Did you ?" I asked, lifting one eyebrow.
His eyes widened. "Not in that way !!"
I laughed and shook my head then turned to the board, ready to listen when Mrs. Deep will begin.
"That's not nice to say that. He's sweet you know." I suddenly told and turned to him. "You should try."
"Maybe I'm sweet too, but not with you" he replied tit for tat, smirking, looking at the board.
Shocked by this answer, I snapped out of it and returned :
"I see you, and you don't seem to be"
He chuckled and turned his head to me.
"You're watching me now ?"
"Pfft you know what I mean... And we don't care that he has hedgehog hair. Looks don't count, personnality matters. And that is why I don't like you."
He kept looking at me, and put his chin on his hand, his elbow resting on the table.
"What ?!" I asked, getting irritated.
"You're pretty, you know." he just let out.
And then he smiled. The same smile that I saw when he was with Skai. The same smile he had when we fell on his bed after dancing together. The smile that was only forming on his lips when he had those 'sweet moments'.
I was surprised. Surprised that he didn't use another word like when he flirts : 'hot', 'sexy', 'a babe'... Surprised that he wasn't smirking like he usually does. But maybe it was because he wasn't flirting. Maybe he just thought I was pretty and that's all.I repeated the word 'what', but this time in a confused, slow way.
"I said you're pretty"
"Why ??"
"Because you're pretty"
I blushed.
"Where did that come from ?"
"I don't know" he shrugged.
He smiled and all I could do at this moment was smile back."Soooooooo" Olivia started with a smirk as we were sitting at a table in the cafeteria. "I saw you and Trevor talking and making sweet smiles to eachother during class..."
"Ooooooh !!!" April said as her eyes widened of interest.
"What happened ?" Olivia continued.
I rolled my eyes.
"He made me laugh because he said that Eric smells like..."
"Hey Maddie !!" someone cut me off.
"Hey Eric !!" I exclamed with a huge fake smile, scratching the back of my head.
I hope he didn't hear it.
"So tonight you're tutoring me right ?" he smiled, sweetly.
"Yep" I nodded awkwardly.
"Your house ?"
"Sure !!" I faked smile again.
"Great, see ya later !"
He walked away as I turned to the girls.
"Smells like what ?" Olivia lifted one eyebrow.
"Like meat" I mumbled.
"I thought you liked Eric, and that he was sweet" April said.
"Yes I do, and I don't think he smells like meat !! It's just the way Trevor said it was fu-"
"Ooh the way Trevor said it !!" Olivia exclamed, batting her eyelids. April laughed next to her. "He was so funny and sooooo hot-"
"Shut up !!" I smacked her head, though I laughed at the same time.
They both laughed, mocking me. I knew they knew I hadn't a crush on him, they were just making fun of me. We do that a lot. Hey, what are friends for ?After school, Eric and I walked to my house and worked on the couch in my living-room. We started to study and it was going well ; he had some difficulties, but he was listening. It felt so peaceful next to Trevor ; it was calm, and he was listening to me. Suddenly the bell ringed.
"Um, I'm sorry, I wasn't expecting any one... Continue to read this I'll be right back." I told him.
"Okay" he nodded and read again.I walked to the door, opened it and saw Trevor.
"What the heck are you doing here ?!!" I exclamed, surprised.
He looked behind my shoulder in the living room, then entered without asking.
"What's up my peeps !!" he shouted and walked into the living room.
Eric looked up at him. "Um, hi..."
"You're Eric right ?" Trevor asked.
"Yes."
"Nice bruh" he answered.
He then turned to me. "So about the meat thing-"
"Shut up" I said as I pushed him to sit down next to Eric again.
"Eric where were we ?"
"Um, that exercise..." he answered as he pointed at it.
Looking at the book, I could see in the corner of my eye Trevor sitting down in front of us. I tried to ignore him and continued with Eric, and surprisingly Trevor wasn't saying anything. I think he was just watching us.
"Now read that paragraph in your head" I told Eric.
He started to read and I looked up. Trevor blowed me a kiss and I rolled my eyes.
I then thought about what he told me ; I never payed attention, but maybe Eric do smells like meat... I sniffled a bit, my eyes wrinkled, waiting for a result. Trevor saw me and he let out a beginning of laugh really loud and covered his mouth to stop the sound, so actually it didn't really look like a laugh.
"Are you okay ?" Eric looked up at him, watching him weirdly.
Trevor nodded, his hand still on his mouth. Eric read again and Trevor and I looked at eachother, trying to contain our laughter.
"I'm done" Eric suddenly said.
"Oh !" I exclamed, breaking my eye contact with Trevor. "Good. Now...well we're done."
"Thank you very much Maddie" he told me while getting up, smiling.
"You're welcome, it was my pleasure" i said.
We hugged to say goodbye to eachother, and he left. I then turned to Trevor.
"Why did you come here ?"
"I was bored"
"So now you can go" I told him.
He sighed. "Alright... Can I have a hug too ?" he opened his arms.
I made the look that was saying that he could go...you know what himself.
His arms dropped against his sides.
"You're not a hugger ?" he smirked as he got closer to me.
"No" I answered, dull.
"A kisser maybe ?" he smirked as he got really close.
My arms were crossed and I was looking up at him - yes, he was very tall -, plain.
"No"
"Too bad" he bit his lip.
And then, I felt a hand squeeze my butt.
My eyes widened and I pushed him away.
"What the hell !!!!" I screamed.
"Woah did you just say a bad word ?" he made fun of me, a hand on his open mouth.
It's true that, as a good girl, I don't even say 'hell' which is not the baddest word on earth.
"Get out of my house" I said as I pushed him to the door.
"But I-"
"No buts !!" I yelled as I closed the door at him.
God.The next day was wednesday. Thank god we only had class the morning, we weren't even eating at school. Usually we both go to one of our houses and eat there, and have the afternoon between girls.
"Heeeeyyyyyy" Olivia squelead as she ran to me this morning.
"Heyyyyyyyy... What's up with the happiness ?" I asked, with a bored face.
"Sorry, I just love wednesdays... Mood ruiner" she mumbled.
"What ?"
"Nothing !!"
April came to us. "Hey girls !! It's wednesday !!"
"Yup !!" Olivia said, excited.
"Why are y'all happy ?" I interviened.
"Well, wednesdays are cool... We spend the aftenoon together" April shrugged, surprised by my unwilingness.
"Sorry, I'm just in a bad mood..." I groaned.
"Why ?" Olivia pouted.
The bell ringed.
"I'll tell you this afternoon. See ya at Olivia's car, like usual"
"Okay" they both said, looking kinda worried about me.
I walked to class and did the same routine, like usual. I didn't see Trevor in class or in the hallways. He must have not bother coming since we only had 3 hours of class.
He was a weird guy. Once he was that huge jerk player that sleeps with every girl that he doesn't even know the names of, then he is that sweet guy that is funny, caring, nice. I didn't understand him. I liked him when he was the guy at his home.
'At his home'. Suddenly I payed attention to these words ; maybe he was better at his home. More...comfortable, maybe ? Maybe his behave was a way to hide unconfidence. I remember what Mrs. Deep told me ; that he was nice inside, but it was hard for him. Perhaps he had problems, troubles ? And what if the thing about his dad wasn't real ? What if he just made up something because he wanted to hide the truth, and was ashamed of it ? Maybe I should be less harsh on him ; but i just hate guys who flirt like that. Maybe he sleeps with all those girls to have fun and forget about his problems... But here's the thing : he shouldn't be having fun while doing this. That's what I don't like about him. Maybe I was just imagining things and he was just a huge jerk.
All those maybes.
And why the hell was I thinking about him when I should listen in class ? Why the hell was I saying 'hell' ? Stay a good girl who does not curse, Maddie.
'Hell is not cursing' a voice in my brain told me.h
I shook my head like it was gonna take the thoughts away, and leaned on my paper to write down the words on the board.
