before laying down in my bed. Just when I was about to fall asleep I heard a knock at my door. I sighed keeping my eyes closed hoping the person would go away but the door opened.
"Nyx? You still awake?"
"What is it Red?" I answered as I turned on my bedside lamp awakening the darkness. I watched HellBoy walk over and take a seat on the edge of the bed next to me.
"Lazy Bones huh?"
"Only when I'm tired. I should've gotten this shirt for you." I joked. Usually HellBoy would laugh at my stupid jokes but this time he didn't.
"Something on your mind?"
"Liz really isn't coming back is she?" He questioned with his head down.
"No she's not HB."
"I still don't believe it even when you tell me." He said sadly.
"Listen Red...Liz made her choice to leave us again. I respect her decision to want to be as normal as possible. Maybe you should respect that too." I do respect that she wants to be normal and being here doesn't provide that for her.
"I do respect that. I just don't know if I can accept keeping away from her."
"She told you to stay away didn't she?" I asked and he nodded.
"What am I gonna do Nyx?"
"Move on I guess." I said shrugging.
"I'll think about it. I'll let you sleep. Thanks for talking with me."
"Anytime Red." I said giving him a small smile. HellBoy patted my leg with his normal hand before leaving my room.
When I heard HellBoy's door close, I laid back down with a sigh. He's never gonna move on from Liz even if she tells him to.
When I woke up this morning, I spent all morning with HellBoy in his room. We mainly watched some TV and I played with his cats. About 5 minutes ago, Trevor came in and told us that Liz had a relapse in her psychosis and burned down the Psychiatric Hospital she was in. Now I'm sitting here on HellBoy's bed listening to the father and son argue.
