Percy's POV
I was sitting up in my shared room with Ron and Harry day dreaming about what it would be like for Annabeth to be here. When a knock at the door disturbed me.
"Hello Percy, Mum wants you to come down so we can go shopping." Ginny said.
"Ok. Let's go!" I said enthusiastically. I hope Wizarding stores are different from the ones back home. Ginny and I ran down the stairs to be greeted by the sight of an excited Hermione.
"Um 'Mione why are you so excited? Ginny asked
"It's Percy's first time going to Diagon Alley and I remember it being magical for me I really can't wait to see Percy's expression." Hermione explained.
"Alright. We are going to apparate to the Leaky Cauldron and then we can split up if necessary."
"Can't we just floo?" Harry questioned.
"I wish we could dear but have all run out of floo powder. We can get some at Diagon Alley" explained Molly.
"Percy and Ginny, you will be with me. Ron, Harry you can go with Molly. Hermione you can go with Fred and George, good luck Hermione." Mr Weasley ordered.
We all got into our groups and then it felt like I was getting sucked into a tube and all the air was squeezed out of my lungs for a split second. Suddenly we were outside what looked like a dark bar?
"C'mon you lot, follow us!" George announced as himself and Fred walked to the old brown door.
Gods of Olympus, this place needs to be redecorated. Especially the exterior. Oooh I used a fancy word! Heh. Maybe I could use interior later on... I have to tell Leo. I got carried away by my train of thought and proceeded to bump into Harry who gave me a frown.
"This is a brick wall. Why are we at a brick wall? Ooohh is it a secret passage?" I queried.
"Wait and see Perce. Wait and see." Hermione giggled.
Mr Weasley tapped the bricks in a certain order with his wand and an arch appeared that lead to a street full of shops and twice as many magic folk.
Not bad I thought I mean they do have magic. This is cool. At least the doorway doesn't play the same music all the time like the elevator to Olympus. Hey! That could be a song. Like highway to hell and stairway to heaven. Elevator to Olympus by Percy Jackson. Anyway...
"This is cool." I commented.
Harry who was giving me a smug smirk dropped his jaw.
"You are meant to have a more extreme reaction! Possibly be speechless." Ron exploded.
"Ron leave him alone. I mean it's just a doorway appearing. This doesn't represent all that magic can do as a whole." Ginny said as she calmed Ron down and put a hand on his shoulder.
"I was surprised. I was in awe." Harry countered.
"That's because it was more or less your first encounter with magic Harry." Hermione said.
"Let's explore the interior of this place. Daily mission accomplished!" I exclaimed.
Harry and Ron gave me weird looks while everyone else laughed.
"Well Percy, Croeso i Diagon Alley." Hermione said (A/N: pronounciation will be able in the authors note at the end. Please leave your guesses for the pronounciation of the Welsh in comments. I am interested.)
"What?" Ron asked.
"It means welcome to Diagon Alley in Welsh. I don't know if I said it right though."
"When did she learn Welsh?" Ron muttered
"In school actually Ronald. We had a guest" Hermione said while she brushed passed him.
Croeso i Diagon Alley it is.
A/N: the pronunciation is Cr-oy-soh ee Diagon Alley. I have been busy with my GCSES so I am sooooooooo sorry for not uploading. And guess what? I have more exams!!!! Yayayayayayayay (!) (Sarcasm). Have a good day guys!
