Day 7: Jungkook

You were bawling, your boyfriend had been cheating on you, and you had came home from work to find them in your bed. You called up the only person you knew would be around at the late hour.

"Y/N? Why are you calling so late?"

"I-I..." You hiccuped.

"Where are you?" He asked softly. 

"By the convenience store..." 

"I'll come pick you up, stay there." He hung up the phone and you hugged your jacket tighter around yourself, the cold winter air fighting the material to chill you to the bone, and the sheets of rain that were coming down didn't help. You sat down on the curb, sobs shaking your body. You looked at the engagement ring on your finger and the sobs shook you further, the tears rolling down your cheeks being masked by the rain that was soaking you through to the bone.

"Y/N?" You looked up and saw Jungkook stood to your left, you stood up and hugged him tightly. He stumbled backwards slightly, not expecting you to come towards him that fast and with that much force.

"J-Jungkook-" His arms wrapped around you as he held you.

"Let's get you warmed up, do you want some ramen?" He asked, and you nodded. He pulled away from the hug, unable to look you in your eyes as he knew if he did he would happily go and hurt whoever hurt you. He took off his dryer jacket, and wrapped it around your shoulders before wrapping an arm around your shoulders as he lead you inside.

You were welcomed by a warm blast of heat and christmas songs. He lead you to a table by the window, and pulled the chair out for you. You sat down, still sniffling, but thankful that the crying had stopped at this point. 

He came back with two bowls of ramen, heated up and ready to eat a few minutes later. He placed one in front of you before sitting down opposite you. "What happened?" He asked softly.

"He cheated... I came home from work and he-" You cut yourself off as you felt the lump form in your throat again. His calm and caring expression changed into one that was angry. 

"That son of a-"

"I'll be fine... I'll just have to go back to living with my parents-"

"No!" Jungkook cried out, startling you as you had taken a mouthful of food, cheeks puffed out as you ate the noodles. "You can't go that far away."

"I don't have anywhere else to go Jungkook." You whispered softly, swallowing the food.

"You do-"

"Where? My house currently has my ex-fiance in and his new little fling."

"You can live with me. We're best friends." He winced slightly. "We used to share a dorm, it won't be any different."

"Jungkook, I can't be that much of a burden to you-"

"Please-" He reached out and clasped your hands in his and you smiled at the warmth, your aching heart warming up with the simple gesture. "I can't loose you. Just come live with me until you want to move out."

"I-"

"Please Y/N. "

"One condition."

"Anything."

"We go to the Han River. I have something I need to do."

So after you two had finished eating, that's where you went. 

"What are you going to do?"

"Be free." You smiled softly, slipping the engagement ring off your finger. You held it in your hand before throwing it with all your force, nearly stumbling over the railing on the bridge. Jungkook grabbed you by your hips and pulled you close to him. You had turned and clung to him out of fright-

You pulled away slightly and looked up, seeing his face close to yours, eyes wide. You studied his face for a minute, the moonlight giving him a gentle glow. You both stayed their frozen for a few seconds before he pulled away first, cheeks pink.

"Let's get home. It's cold and you're still wet." He spoke softly and started walking. You watched after him for a few seconds, your heart racing in your chest. Your old old crush on him slowly resurfacing. The next few months of living with him would be torture. "Y/N, are you coming?"
