Will's POV

*sigh* what do I do? She said no. Why? Why did she say no? Is it because I'm too young? It can't be, she's only a couple years older than me. I don't get it, we're amazing friends, we like the same stuff, so why doesn't she want to go out with me? Maybe we're too good friends and she doesn't want to ruin that. I just can't stop thinking about her.

Will's POV

"Hey Will, what's up?"

Hey Steve, you're in early.

"I've have to leave early this afternoon. Besides, you got here before me. Why are you in so early?"

I got up at like four this morning, so I thought I'd come to work early.

"Are you alright? You seem kinda sad. Is everything ok?"

Well...um, no, actually. I couldn't sleep last night. I just couldn't stop thinking about something, well, someone...you know what, never mind. It's not important.

"Will, I'm your friend, you can tell me anything."

Ok. Well, I sort of like Reina, a lot.

"Wow, how long have you liked her?"

In some way, I think I've always liked her, I just never really knew it. These feelings only surfaced the other night, when we were drinking a lot, and we made out. Now I can't stop thinking about her.

"Well why don't you tell her how you feel? She might like you too."

I already have. The other day, when you all went to chipotle, I took her to this little restaurant for lunch. After we ate, I told her how I felt, but she just said that she didn't think of me in that way.

"Listen Will, you're a funny, cool young guy. Not only that, but, you two have so much in common. You two would be perfect together."

But she said no, she clearly doesn't like me.

"Will, do you remember exactly what she said when you asked her out?"

Yeah, I'll never forget. She said that she didn't see us being a couple.

"Well, when you think about it, she didn't actually say no."

But she said she didn't-

"The way I see it, she just needed some time to think about what you said. Now, I know I'm not the best person to give you advice on this kind of thing, I know I haven't exactly had many girlfriends, and I've been married for a long time, but, I think you just need to wait for her to realise what an awesome guy you are, and why you'd make a great boyfriend."

Really? You think so?

"Of course man."

Thanks Steve, you're a great friend.

"I know, right?"

Writer's room:

No POV

Before entering the writer's room, Trisha prepared herself for the difficult day ahead.

"It's ok," she said to herself, "you can do this. Just sit next to Meg, and talk to Phil at lunch."

As Trisha entered the room, she was met with the customary welcomes from her friends. She was able to get to her desk and begin working without much difficulty. The only test of her will was trying to remain calm after seeing Will, as it brought back memories from the evening.

The morning passed quickly for Trisha. All she could think about was the talk with Phil.

Trisha's POV

Ok, you've made it this far, just a little more this afternoon and you can go home. You can do it.

"Guys, I'm starving, when are we gonna eat?" Said Lee to the group.

"Why don't we go now?" Responded Ross.

"Cool," said Elliott, "let's go."

"Hey Trish," said Phil as he entered the room, "can I talk to you for a second?"

Um yeah.

12:32pm

Phil's office:

No POV

As the two entered the room, Trisha slowly began to tear up.

"Hey Trish, don't worry, I'm not mad at you, I just wanted to make sure you were ok."

"I'm sorry Phil, I messed everything up." Trisha said, beginning to cry even more.

"No you haven't Trish."

"Yes I have, I kissed Joe and now I've probably ruined his marriage and I've ruined our friendship and Heather hates me and-"

"Whoa whoa whoa, calm down. You haven't ruined anything. I talked to Joe the other day, and he said he just needed some time to fix things with Heather."

"But I don't know what to do."

"Well, I know this is gonna be hard to hear, but, the best thing to do right now is to talk to Joe and Heather, to sort things out with them."

"But she'll hate me. I could never do that."

"I know it sounds hard, but, to help their marriage, she needs to know that you don't have feelings for Joe. that's the best thing to do right now."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Trisha. It's gonna be hard, but you have to do it, for Joe."

"Ok. I'll do it."

"By the way, just so I don't accidentally say anything, who in the office knows what happened?"

"Well, Reina and Will saw us kiss, and I told Meg."

"Ok. Well, now that's all cleared up, do you wanna get some lunch?"

"Thanks but I don't feel like going with everyone, I just wanna be by myself."

"Ok, whatever you want."

Trisha got up to leave, and headed towards the door.

"Wait, before you leave, Trisha, is there anything I can do to help? I know it's none of my business, but, as a friend, is there anything I can do?"

Trisha smiled whilst wiping away the remaining tears on her face.

"No thanks, I'll be fine."

Trisha left Phil's office, and was greeted by Meg, who was waiting outside. Immediately, Meg hugged Trisha, to try and comfort her.

"Phil's right you know. You really have to talk to Joe."

Trisha remained silent, in the comforting embrace of her friend.

"Come on baby, lets get some lunch."
