"Love does not falter. It will always find its way to you no matter how much you try to convince yourself that it wont"
Kaylee ran up the walkway, ditching her bicycle out by the curb. She was heaving heavily, her face flushed whilst her bangs had stuck to her forehead. It felt like her world had been running a million miles an hour before that if her expression had to say anything.
She couldn't help but notice her legs feeling not so reliable as of then as she stumbled towards the front door. The large metal screen had then been tugged open, sending her face first towards her grandmother's bosom.
"Ouch," she groaned, voice muffled by the current placement of her head.
"Kaylee!" she heard her grandmother exclaim. She could feel the woman's defying gaze on her as she now stared her down.
"Hnghh," Kaylee tried, her voice still muffled.
"Jesus Christ," Rose began, disarming her bosom from her granddaughter's face. She studied the blonde girl's face for a moment, furrowing her eyebrows at the girl's bothered expression. "Are you okay, dear?"
The younger girl was fast to straighten herself up, her face no better than it had been moments before. She felt her cheeks heat up the moment she had found herself speaking, "I–I'm fine. I just had a mediocre encounter back there at the grocery—"
"Grocery? Well, dear, you sure you'd gone to the ol' grocery? My, oh, my, where are the bags?"
Kaycee stared at her grandmother for a moment, her eyes glued to the older woman's confused expression. She hadn't seemed to register that she had in fact, forgotten her cart in an attempt to leave the grocery due to how flustered she had been.
"The bags?" She echoed, not seeming to understand at first. Rose shot her an amused glare.
"You seen a good lookin' guy already, Kaye? Is that why you haven't got no bags with you?"
"No?" The blonde replied in utter confusion. "I still don't get–"
Then, it clicked.
She had forgot to bring the bags with her in her vigorous attempt to leave.
"Sh–Shoot...," She groaned, resisting the urge to slap herself across the face. "I–I forgot the bags"
"Damn right you did!"
Kaylee couldn't help but mentally scold herself at the situation presented before her. Tracing it to the girl she had bumped into to be the cause of her sudden breakout, she facepalmed. This wasn't the first time she had gone bonkers over some girl, either.
It had been in sixth grade in Mr. Loft's drama class when she felt her heart drop at the sight of the British transferee–Allyson Wick.
She had been scribbling down some notes as for the queues of each tech member when it came down to the lighting and audio for their upcoming play the next weekend, *Romeo and Juliet*
To start things off, the blonde had already accepted that Allyson was completely out of her league. To make things worse, this did not stop her from stealing secret glances whenever the girl passed by. Heck, it had become one of her unhealthy habits she chose not to share with anyone despite how much she wanted to.
