Loki was determined when it came to finding Ivanna. After he left Fólkvangr he returned back to Midgard in hopes of finding the lost goddess. Nothing else in the world mattered to him. All he wanted to do was to find Ivanna and hold her tight; nothing more and nothing less. He had been searching for her since yesterday. Loki checked her apartment, the fancy little restaurant that she took him one time. He checked her favorite fast food place, and he even checked the park where they first meet. But she was no where to be found.
"Where are you my dearest significant other?" Loki asked as he looked up at the stars, wondering if they were going to give him some type of sign. He was back at the park where they first ran into each other--well, more where he crashed down on her after getting his ass kicked by Doctor Strange--and he has been here for awhile now. "Who am I kidding?" He chuckled bitterly to himself. "The stars hate me."
"They don't hate you," says a soft and sweet, but most importantly, a familiar voice behind him.
Loki turned around quickly and his heart immediately started to race a million miles per hour, to the point that he was actually going to pass out; right here and right now. Before his eyes he saw Ivanna standing in front of him dressed in a white things strapped silk gown that hit the floor. Her eyes were filled with delight and her heart was beating just as fast as his. Loki felt like all the air in his lungs was sucked out of him, but in a good way of course. He didn't know if he should say something or run up and hug the hell out of her.
"Did you know that humans make wishes out of stars when really it's just a burning ball of gas in the sky?" Ivanna tells him as she took slow steps towards him until they were toe to toe. She could feel his body relaxing and his soul finally making peace with himself. It was crazy the way her presence affected him spiritually.
Loki felt tears falling down his face, but yet, he still managed to smile at her, "H-How dumb are they, huh?"
Ivanna smiled and took his face in her hands to give him the most powerfulest and sincerest kiss ever. She felt him melt by her touch as she did too when he kissed her back and pulled her closer by the waist. It was the most surreal kiss that either of them has ever had. And it made them both happy to be reunited once again.
"My love," Loki whispered against her lips, pressing his forehead against hers and soaking this moment up by every second that passed. "I have felt so incomplete without you."
"And I have felt the same way too," tears fell down her face as she held him close to her. "I'm..I'm so sorry for leaving you Loki," she cried softly.
"Don't you worry your pretty heart out Ivanna. I made everything better, I promise you," he assured squeezing on her waist.
"What do you mean you made everything better?" Ivanna asked him curiously as she stared into his eyes for an answer. Even though they were back together it didn't mean that everything was completely alright. She was still cursed and she wasn't too sure that he fixed everything.
"Well..I went to Freyja and I..I broke the curse," Loki announced to her calmly as his hands ran up and down her sides soothingly. He bit his bottom lip harshly though, wondering how she was gonna take the news that she didn't expected to hear from him after their little split.
She pulled her head away from him just a little bit as she continued on to look him in the eyes. Ivanna found no lie, and it was causing her to almost freak out, "You can't be serious right now."
"He is telling the truth Ivanna," Freyja appeared behind Loki and that made Ivanna look over his shoulder in disbelief. The Norse Goddess came over to the duo with her fingers laced in front of her. "The curse has been broken dear," she tells Ivanna upfront. "You don't have to feel anymore pain because there is no more suffering for you to face."
"I-I can bear a child?" Ivanna asked the milky toned woman with even more tears falling down her face. She couldn't believe what was happening, she just couldn't. It felt like it wasn't even real to her.
"You can do that and bear more than one child for the rest of eternity. I have nothing evil against you or anybody that comes down the line of your family in the future," Freyja assured her once more, bowing her head in honor and in apology.
"You..you really did that?" Ivanna's bottom lip trembled as she looked back into Loki in his eyes. "For me?"
"I will do anything for you dear," Loki wiped away her tears and kissed the top of her forehead sweetly.
She couldn't comprehend what else to say next. What he did was the most courageous thing anybody has ever done for her. She was just at lost of words right now. Ivanna would have never believed that Loki, a man who crashed into her from the sky, would go out of his way and break a curse that was said to never be broken; but he did it anyway because he cared for her so much. And all Ivanna could do was pull him into a bone crushing hug.
Freyja smiled at the two, and it made her feel better of what just took place. And after awhile she started to fade away to let them be alone by themselves.
"I love you so much," Loki kissed her over and over and over again. "And you don't have to say it back but--,"
"Shut up idiot," she crashed her lips onto his, pulling away with a toothy grin. "I love you more."
"Impossible," he grinned.
"It is possible," she murmured as she kissed his lips once more.
Loki pulled away from the affectionate goddess with a serious face as he asked her, "You love me the way Pablo Escobar loved selling cocaine?"
"Even more," she giggles wrapping her arms around his shoulders. "I swear it."
