Joe's POV:
Agreeing to go to a dance class and learn three different dances seemed to be the only way to win back Dianne's heart. I can't believe what a mistake I made. I never knew I could hurt anyone this bad. Especially not someone I care about deeply. I sigh as I get out the car, contemplating what exactly I'm going to do.
"I'm coming to that class with you." I whispered to Dianne.
"Joe, I told you." I cut her off quickly.
"Me and Zoe will take you and pick you up. We'll wait outside, but I want to meet the teacher." I saw Dianne wince a little so I gathered she was strict. At least, that was what I thought I gathered.
"Okay. Whatever you say. But just know I am gonna ask for food after." I chuckled. If only I could take her out for food. Not yet.
When we enter the house, the aroma of cupcakes fills my senses and I can already tell they'll be delicious.
"Zoe, I love you!" Dianne says jokingly, but I know she actually means it. My sister has been like her sister ever since we became friends.
"Well, I drive you round, bake you cupcakes, what more could a girl ask for?" She giggles back.
"And you're only 19. How do you do it?" Zoe shrugs, still smiling.
"I guess I'm just ready for life." Zoe carries on talking to Dianne as I sneak off to find my camera. The plans for today changed, but I might as well vlog it.
"Okay so today me and Zoe are going to Dianne's dance class with her because I've actually decided that I want to take it up. I think it would give me a better understanding of what she does and that's all I really need in life. So I'm just preparing now. I've still got a cupcake from Zoe in my hand. That's probably not the best thing. Anyway I'll get back to you." I'm still new to vlogging but I want to be as good as my sister at it.
"Found him!" Dianne shouts to Zoe, I assume.
"Come on, Joe. We've gotta get going. I can't be late for my class." I laugh as she pulls me along to the car.
"Didn't you do an hour of dance earlier?" She nods.
"I'm taking a course in dance remember? And then I do my regular dance classes."
"Oh so it's just like..." I trail off having nothing to compare it to.
"It's just like what Joe?" She raises her eyebrows, waiting for a response.
"I don't know." We both burst into a fit of giggles as Zoe begins driving us around.
After we reach the studio, Dianne assures us of the times and insists me and Zoe leave to do something worthwhile. I take the advice and go shopping with Zoe. I buy Dianne a little present ready for her birthday. I knew I wanted it to be special so I'd been saving for a big present but wanting to pick little things up as well. She was-after all- my best friend. I also helped with the other shopping before heading to pick up some food for Dianne for after her class.
Leaving the food in the car, I headed up to where Dianne was. I was eager to meet the teacher I would be having and I thought good first impressions were worth everything.
"Hey!" Dianne says enthusiastically as I enter the room of all the different dancers.
"This is Aj." She introduces me.
"Hi I'm Joe." I shake his hand.
"Dianne says you're thinking of taking it up. It's really rewarding." Aj informs me. I nod, knowing I'm taking it up anyway.
"Save the lecture, won't you?" Dianne laughs before disappearing over to a different group.
"What brings you here then Joseph?" Aj says as I tie my shoelace.
"I'm doing this for Dianne." I shrug, laughing a little.
"You must really love her then." Aj suggests. I nod, not noticing the petite girl behind me.
"Yeah, I do."
"Aj, come on. I need to practice the routine one more time and Joe wants to meet our choreographer." A girl named Chloe taps his shoulder, breaking him away from me.
"You ready?" Dianne asks as I stand back up.
"Ready as I'll ever be."
"This is Karen, and this is Jason." She introduces me.
"Usually there's only one choreographer but today's your lucky day."
"Oh okay!" I say, trying to sound like I have a clue about something.
"I'm gonna go help Chloe and Aj now." Jason says as he wanders off to the other side of the room.
"So who's the beginner teacher?" I ask, unexpectedly waiting for the answer.
"You're looking at her." Karen says, pointing to Dianne. That can't be right. Can it?
