At birth, you're given half of a unique necklace, and the other half belongs to your Soulmate. These pieces heat up the closer you get to your Soulmate, and cool down the farther you go away. If at any time your Soulmate is actively searching you out, your necklace starts glowing so it makes it a bit easier to find them. (Prompt #2: Necklaces)

You randomly met him at a summer camp in the Czech Republic, where your parents sent you when you were just eleven. The first thing you noticed were his piercing green eyes, surrounded with long dark eyelashes that gave him a sort of mysterious look. He was already tall and slim with short and light, almost blonde hair that was hiding under a black baseball cap. His style was rather unique, although it made him look like a bad boy and that, looking from your perspective, made him even more handsome in your eyes. He was playing football with some friends his age and you could hear them screaming and laughing.

It was all happening just a couple of meters away from you while you were standing there, staring. At some point, you saw something shining with blue light from around his neck and that was also when your eyes met for the first time ever. Even if it was just for a brief moment, you immediately knew it was something special, although it was hard for you to understand due to your lack of experience. You knew you were too young, yet that didn't stop you from being curious. One of the reasons for that was also your silver lace necklace with a yin-yang pendant that glowed with a bright red light when you looked down at it. And when you looked back up, you saw the boy who had previously caught your attention approaching with a football ball in the tight grip of his hands. You frowned and your heart almost stopped when you finally realized what was going on. He was coming towards you and there was a very high possibility he had an intention to speak to you.

"Hey," he greeted you with a husky voice and a playful expression on his face. You mumbled something in return, fervently praying that he understood you, cause you were way too numb to function properly. A loud sigh escaped your mouth when he smiled and bowed down a little so that his eye horizon was now parallel with yours. Even though he was a bit younger, he was a lot taller than you. Yes, he understood you. Or maybe he was just psychic, you thought when you saw a blue pendant appearing from the depths of his shirt. The flannel that was covering it before now revealed it in all its beauty. It was a necklace almost identical to yours, except that it was the other half of yin-yang and it was blue, while yours was red. Together they would make a perfect yin-yang in a circular shape.

Even though you were a shy kid, you soon became close friends and he was one of those few people, whom you could actually trust or talk about literally anything and he would always listen. You could tell him your hopes, dreams, memories, concerns and he would just sit there, nodding from time to time. It might've seemed he was being distant, but in reality, he was just concentrating and you knew that perfectly well. Those late-night talks were your absolute favorite. You would often stay up all night, talking and then felt sleepy in the morning, but you didn't care.

Unfortunately, your time of staying at the camp soon came to an end and you had to say goodbye to the boy you fell in love with so madly. You had to go back to your home country, Hungary, which was miles and miles away and leave the summer behind. Computers, mobile phones, social media, and whatnot weren't that popular back then as they weren't as developed yet, but you still promised you would stay in touch with each other, one way or another.

Before you picked up your suitcase and left for the airport, it was time to say the last goodbye. You saw him standing in the corner of a meadow with his arms crossed on his chest, staring into the distance, probably thinking. He was one of the smartest kids. You took a few steps closer and tugged at his flannel's sleeve so that he turned around immediately, a sad smile appearing on his face.
