Shiori's eyes opened slowly. A bright purple light shone down on her and she shielded her eyes from it with her arm. Peeping from the shadow of the arm, Shiori gazed at her surroundings. She was in a dimly lit room, all the curtains were closed and all exits had been blocked. There was a piano in the corner and piles of sheet music stacked high till the ceiling. They shook gently, as if any loud sound or sudden movement would send an avalanche of paper down on her. She tried to stand up but her feet were trapped under a large weight. She looked down and saw Isami with bruises all over his body. His arms had cuts on them and his legs had tangled themselves with hers. She put a hand on his bruised cheek and tried to wake him up.

"Isami! Isami it's me Shiori please wake up!" She whispered frantically but to no avail he refused to wake and his eyes stayed glued shut.

Then a small sound encompassed the room.

It was middle C.

Shiori froze. She looked at the piano. It began to play middle C over and over again. Faster and faster as if the piano itself was taunting her. Shiori only ignored it. Then more notes started to play until it was a crescendo of notes all together completely out of tune. Still Shiori ignored the call of her favourite instrument, Isami was more important right now.

"Isami! Isami please! Wake up!! I need you! What happened to you? Why are we here? Say something talk to me!!"

Suddenly several other instruments joined the chaos until there was an uproar of sound. Then - everything fell silent.

Shiori's eyes dashed around scouring every inch of the room. Her gaze returned to Isami as she tried to pull him up.

"That's it we have to get out of here. I don't care if you're trying to kill me it's not safe for both of us."

"Oowww..." a groan could be heard.

"Isami! Are you ok?"

"Sh-Shiori! Wh-What are you doing here? You need to leave NOW! If h-he finds you-"

"What? If who finds us?"

"It doesn't matter you need to leave now!" He urgently pressed as they both stood up. Isami took a moment to look around before he gasped.

"What's wrong?"

"This is his doing. He's trying to get to me by using my fear."

"What fear? Of sheet music?"

"Ya it sounds silly but when I was younger my mother forced me to learn 7 page pieces perfectly in a day. I started to get nightmares about being drowned in my own music."

"Isami.." Shiori's arms wrapped around his neck and she gave him a soothing hug that Isami accepted.

"I'm here. We'll get out or go form together."

"Ok."

They both carefully tiptoed through the undergrowth of sheet music before the sound of a violin made them freeze.

"Oh no.."

"It's William Tell's overture.."

"The storm!" They both yelled in unison.

Great gusts of wind came from no where and the towers of paper became unsettled. Slowly pieces of paper started to fall until the large towers collapsed, sending masses of paper flying everywhere.

"It's just like in my dream! Shiori quick we have to get out!"

Shiori tried to reply but she was suddenly dragged down by a force on her leg.

"AHH!"

A vine of paper had coiled around her leg like a python and it's tenacious grip started dragging her down into the sea of paper.

"Isami help me. It's grabbed me!"

Grabbing her by the arm, Isami tried to pull her up but it was no use. He slipped on a sheet and fell in with her.

As the music reached its crescendo they felt themselves being carried deeper and deeper into the white and black mess. The light above them grew smaller as sheet music began to encompass them, trap them.

"Isami will we be ok?"

"I don't know."

"Well," Shiori began as a rumbling cacophony of sounds filled their ears." If we don't get out of this I want to tell you something."

"What?"

"I've enjoyed these past few months with you. I wouldn't give them up for anything. Isami,"

"Yes?"

"I love you." She closed the gap between them with a kiss as the suffocating darkness closed in on them.
