CLARY WALKES TOWARDS the Cullen's and Bella who was waiting in a clearing. She was invited to play baseball with them, though she's confused because it's suppose to storm soon, but she ignored it as an attempt to get closer to the Cullen's. She wanted to make sure that they were one hundred percent what Josie said they were — Cold Ones.
"Hey!" Bella walked over to her, smiling. Ever since Clary's best friends arrived, Clary hasn't been as angry as she was before. Though, she's been a little testy since they went home yesterday. "Are you ready to play?"
"In the middle of a storm?" Clary questioned, raising an eyebrow. "I'm confused with that part."
"Me, too," Bella said, turning away from her half sister, curiosity taking over her. "I'm wondering..." She trailed off, turning back to the red head. "How is your mom?"
Clary crossed her arms. "She's good. She's re-married, something you already know."
Bella nodded. "Yeah. What's his name, again?"
"Alaric," Clary replied, not knowing that the Cullen's were listening to their conversation. "Lizzie and Josie are actually his daughters. Twins."
She knew of the Gemini Covens ways — twins have to merge at the age of twenty-two. They will have to battle eachother and kill the other, resulting in the strongest to live so that they could rule the coven. Which Clary thinks is stupid and useless now because there is no more Coven because of what Kai did — Lizzie and Josie's psychotic uncle.
"Fraternal," Bella said, nodding. "What about their mother?"
"Oh, Caroline?" Clary smiled at the thought of the blonde vampire who she grew to love as a second mother. "She's traveling right now for more kids for the school," She answered, lying, but Bella didn't need to know the truth. Caroline was actually trying to find a way for the merge to not happen. "She hasn't been home for a little while, something that Lizzie takes to heart, so that's why she was being bitchy. Her and Lizzie's birthday is coming up in two weeks — they're turning sixteen."
"Are you gonna go celebrate with them?" Bella asked, biting her lip. She could tell the moment she and Charlie walked into her room after her friends arrived, that Clary loves her friends more than anything else in the world.
Clary frowned. "If I'm able to make the trip, then yes. I don't really want to miss their birthday since there is a good chance Caroline won't be there since her trip is very important." Since she was there for the whole Kai thing, Caroline and Alaric had made her promise to not tell the girls about it until there is a hundred percent chance that they can't stop the merge before their twenty second birthday.
