The next morning was the day that everyone got back. Harry hadn't gotten much sleep the night before, and by the looks of it, neither did Draco. Harry and Draco had planned to meet up in the place where no one would go.
Not that it meant anything. At least that's what they told themselves.
Before classes started, Ron, Hermione, and Harry were sitting in their common room when, to Ron and Hermione's surprise, Harry had rushed out exactly on the hour. He said he needed to pick up a book for a Herbology essay. As soon as Harry was out of sight of the Fat Lady, he slipped on his invisibility cloak and snuck off to Moaning Myrtle's bathroom. When he arrived, Myrtle came floating out of her favorite stall. She floated over to Harry, taking him in.
"My," she said. "I haven't seen you around much. By the way, he's already here." Out from behind one of the stalls stepped Draco. Harry's heart skipped a beat. He looked so attractive- his silver-grey eyes glinting and his adorable grin. Harry couldn't help but grin back.
"Morning, Dray," Harry said, shortening the name out of habit. Ron and Harry called Hermione 'Mione, so it seemed natural. Draco seemed to consider the nickname but smiled. Stepping closer, he gently brushed Harry's hair off his forehead. He slowly traced Harry's scar with his finger. Then he trailed his finger down to Harry's neck, his hand lingering.
"Morning," Draco replied. Harry could feel Draco's warm breath on his face. They looked at each other, unaware of the song Myrtle had made up about them being in love. Harry checked his watch, breaking the eye contact between him and Draco.
"We have Herbology together- 5 minutes," Harry said. Draco was still gazing into Harry's eyes. They blushed.
"Well," Draco began. "See you then." He gave one last look before striding out of the bathroom.
"Well, well, well. Little Harry Potter has a bit of a crush doesn't he!" Myrtle squealed.
"I do not!" Harry hissed, peeking outside to make sure Draco couldn't hear them.
"Sure," Myrtle said, disbelieving. However, Harry never got a chance to reply since Myrtle went back to hide in the U-bend of the toilet pipe. As Harry wandered back to the common room to get his things, his mind wandered. Had Draco almost kissed him? Did he want Draco to kiss him? On the way to Herbology, however, he came up with an idea to write letters. He would never send them, they would just be a way to get out the confusion. He would try it tonight, he thought. Draco Malfoy wouldn't be able to charm his way to me. Despite the fact that he was very charming... no. I can't fall for him. I never could. Never.
