After finally leaving, Harry rushed back to his dormitory. Up through the staircase and out in front of the door that read 'Sixth Years'. Everyone was still at lunch, if not, heading up right now. Harry pulled out a quill, ink, and piece of parchment.
Dear Wonderful,
I can't get enough of you. I probably never could. I want to be with you like this forever- not saying that this is official. You were so nervous to ask me to be your friend, now you're back to your old, beautiful, confident self. I can't stop thinking about you.
My friends have stopped trying to talk to me unless I talk to them first. "In my own world," they say. More like in a world full of daydreams about kissing you. I can't believe we're finally friends. I can't believe I kissed you. This time last year I would have said I hated you. It's insane how fast everything happened. First, we hated each other (although to be totally honest I had a small crush on you from the beginning). Then we were friends. Next, you were making out with me in a broom closet. Merlin, this is too much. I need to tell my friends. I'll do it after the Quidditch match. We're going against your team. I'm nervous about it but excited. Wood has been making us practice so much. I just hope it pays off. I can't wait to see you again tomorrow, out on the Quidditch field.
Sincerely, Hopelessly in Love
The next before the match Harry scribbled another letter to try to get some of his nerves out.
Dear Beautiful,
I can't resist you now. Every time I see you I long to be with you. I know nothing would ever happen. That kiss was something random that happened. Maybe I was dreaming. It probably didn't mean anything. I can't get you out of my head though. I hope I can focus on the match today. It'll be hard to keep you out of my head- especially when you'll be looking for the Golden Snitch just like me. I have to go now- Wood says we should meet for practice in 5 minutes. I just hope I can tear my eyes away from your adorable face long enough to find the snitch. We'll see.
Sincerely, Hopelessly in Love
He left the letter sealed in the drawer of his desk with the others, grabbed his broom, and hurried off to the locker rooms where his team was meeting.
Harry knew that it would be hard to focus on the match when he would be playing against Draco.
What he didn't know was that someone was rifling through his desk drawer as he listened to Wood discuss their strategy.
