Harry waited at the Gryffindor table while people ate their dinner all around him. He and Draco had planned to meet at exactly 7:00 pm. He would have to leave in three minutes to be able to get to their meeting place- the closet where Harry had found Draco crying. He was brainstorming an excuse to tell Hermione and Ron when she snapped him out of his trance.
"Harry! What haven't you touched your food?" Hermione asked him.
"Not hungry I suppose," Harry said absentmindedly. He was watching Draco was but trying to pretend like he wasn't. Of course, Draco looked over at the exact moment where Harry had looked up at him. They both blushed furiously and looked away. Harry subconsciously moved his hand to where Draco's hand had lingered on his neck yesterday. He grinned to his empty, clean plate.
"My goodness Harry, what has gotten into you lately?" Hermione continued. "You're so distant but at the same time you're all smiley and blushy and 'I'm going to hurry off to do something secretive'." For the last part, Hermione took on a high pitched British voice.
"That is not what I sound like!" Harry said. Although he desperately didn't want to prove Hermione right, it was time. "Um, I think I left something important upstairs actually! Going to need that... better go get it aye?" Harry said quickly, stepping over the bench. Hermione rolled her eyes. Before they could say anything, he hurried out and up to the broom closet. He stood nervously near the door, pretending to tie his shoelace whenever anyone walked by. Hearing footsteps approaching, he bent down on one knee to fiddle with his shoelace.
"Harry," said Draco. His voice was warm and caring. Harry blushed bright red.
"Go on then," Harry said, nodding towards the door without looking up. "I'll be in in a second."
Once the coast was clear, Harry slipped into the closet and locked the door. No one could find them. A Gryffindor and a Slytherin- and they were supposed to be enemies. Yet- neither one of them could control their feelings for the other.
"So Harry, couldn't get enough of me?" Draco said, pulling the raven-haired boy nearer him. Harry was a few inches shorter than Draco but was stronger, despite his skinniness. He lifted his arms around Draco's neck. Draco took Harry's face in his hands and gently pressed his lips to Harry's for the first time. Great, Harry thought absentmindedly, his lips still on Draco's. I'm locked in a broom closet making out with Draco Malfoy. But for some reason, being in Draco's presence was calming and soothing.
Draco pulled away and pressed his forehead against Harry's. He is so adorable... Draco thought to himself. WAIT- did I just kiss Harry Potter? Oh no, no no. He untangled his shaking hands from Harry's perfect hair and straightened up. He cleared his throat but didn't say anything. Both teenagers were blushing and looking at the floor.
"I suppose we should both go," Draco began. He didn't want to leave. Harry looked at him with those eyes... those adorable, electric green eyes. Draco felt like he was melting into the floor when Harry looked at him.
"Yeah, I suppose," He said sadly. His head was screaming at him, but he didn't want to leave.
Get a grip!
You just kissed Draco Malfoy! What were you thinking! Do you realize what you just did? What if people find out?
You shouldn't even be into him! He's a Slytherin! You're just friends!
Think of all the times he's teased you! This is probably a joke! Don't go get swept off your feet to find out that this is all fake!
You don't love him! You don't even like him! You're barely even friends. Stop smiling and blushing at him! He's not even that cute!
ARE YOU BLOODY MENTAL??
Despite what his mind told him, Harry couldn't help kissing Draco lightly on the lips again. Draco smiled at him. Harry wish he would always smile at him like that. A blush crept into Harry's face again, forcing him to look away.
Draco spoke again.
"Well, I should go-" he stuttered.
"Me too," Harry said quickly. He only wished that they could stay together for eternity.
