YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND GEOCENTRISM'S PART IN ASTROLOGY TO GET TO THIS PART OR IT'LL COME OFF VERY CONFUSING. See the previous lesson.
VOCABULARY:
Ruler: Planet in the sign it rules
Exhalation: Not a ruler, but has the alternative energy to the ruler. If not even more powerful
Fall: Position of weakness, not a favourable placement
Detriment/Exile: Planet positioned in the opposite sign it rules, operates with the least strength
Rulership: referring to rulers
Debility: referring to fall or detriment
Dignities: Referring to [sign] that [planet] is in, a planetary placement's strength.
Here are examples to get you understanding:
bob has mars in Aries, that's mars in it's rulership, which is a powerful position where the actions of mars may be greatly exaggerated than other placements in mars.
lily has mars in cancer, that's mars in it's fall. It's not a good position--it could be a negative passive way to express energy/anger, a lack of firey drive, or any other negative things associated with energy, drive, and motivation
johnny has mars in scorpio, in exaltation. the intense scorpio energy could radiate the same energy as aries, if not more powerful.
and there you have it. next lesson will be on Earth
