You have a dominant planet, sign, element and mode.

It means out of your entire chart, you have a singular planet/sign/element/mode that you are most alike, the trait that is most dominant represented by [planet, sign, element, mode]

For example:

Bob is Cancer dominant (Sign), Venus dominant (planet), Air dominant (Element), and Cardinal dominant (mode)

What does that mean for Bob? His personality is most like a cancer's, his life is dominated by the influence of Venus, the planet of love and art, he is probably fairly intellectual or social too being an air dominant, and he has a cardinal approach to things.

Follow this blog tutorial to find your dominants in astro.com: http://fh-horoscopes.tumblr.com/post/121789533579/how-to-find-your-dominant-sign-planet-element

( Just an additional note regarding "modern dominant calculators" if you're gonna use them, they are more focussed on inner planets and chances are you will get an inner planet dominant )

Dominants are calculated by planetary dignities (see previous lesson), the numbers of each sign you have occupying your chart, and a bit with planet placement in houses and other microscopic details.

Found your dominants? Now what?

Interpret them--very easy for signs, elements, and modes. You search up what xxx sign/elementt/mode means, get the details, and there you know "wow, so this is the personality stuff that I am dominated by according to astrology." But of course, you can also search it up to get details like planets vv

For planets it's best to search it up, you'd get some very interesting details (also use a wide variety of sources! Some sources overdramatize everything).
