A/N
I have returned from my month long hibernation to give you guys another chapter. Whenever I write another one of these, I tell myself it'll be the last one, but I always end up writing three more.
"I can end the story here, it's done,"
"No, one more,"
If there was one thing Don was sure of, it was that his plan to carry out the "murder" was the worst thing he's ever thought of. He really didn't want to kill DDawn; even though DDawn was a jackass, Duni probably deserve to be shanked more than he did.
It wasn't even that good a plan either. He would need to get inside of DDawn's house to even do anything, and the robot was paranoid to the point of ridiculousness in his attempts to keep his things private. Even if he did get inside, there's no guarntee that he could even find were DDawn kept his memory chips.
Currently, Don was at DDawn's doorstep, the chip that he was given tucked neatly away in his vest's pocket. He had no idea what he was doing.
"Knock knock, open up!" Don exclaimed, pounding the door, not bothering to use the doorbell. He swore he could hear noises from inside the house, most of it being swearing and rather annoyed shouts. The cedar door opens and the irritated frown on DDawn's face is telling of his current mood. He kind of just stares at Don, like he's expect an explanation without having to ask for it. Then again, it seemed only natural for him to expect it.
"I, uh... have an issue. There's something wrong with me - I've been having these weird nightmares that I've never had lately - and I think you might be able to help me. You made me after all," DDawn just sighs at this before opening the door wider, gesturing the younger male to enter the house.
"Get inside. Do not bother me like this again," he grimly states, stepping aside for Don to enter. The house hadn't changed much since the last time he was in it; he doesn't expect it to change in a matter of one or two days, but he does notice something different. The entrance to the lab in the basement was closed with a large WARNING sign on it. He didn't want to ask why.
"Sit down, and wait. It is most probable that you have an issue in your neurological wiring. I do not expect you to understand, mostly because you are not supposed to have nightmares," DDawn sat him down at the coffee table and readjusted his visor. He quickly opened and shut the door to the lab, making sure to lock it (or so Don assumed from the tiny clicking noise that followed). He sat there for a few minutes, listening for DDawn's footsteps as he raced down the stairs of the lab. The slamming of cabinets and rather loud muttering of swears, causes Don to start his plan.
He leaves the living room and walks down the nearby hallway. It's almost chilling that he remembers the exact layout of DDawn's house, he rarely even went there in the first place. He takes a sharp left and comes across the entrance to his bedroom. Sure enough, Don could already tell that not only did the door have a combination lock on it, but it also very clearly had an alarm rigged to it. The wires ran down the door and into the space below it. Testing luck, Don flinched when he tugged on the doorknob, only to have it open without any problem. Either DDawn was asking to get killed, or he just forgot to reassemble his contraptions.
The room was surprisingly messy. There were wires everywhere and paper was scattered on the floor, which only flew away as he shut the door behind him. The diagrams on the walls looked like a conspiracy theorist had tried to connect random pictures of him and his friends with pictures of things that Don didn't even know how to describe. More importantly, though, Don noticed a little container with slots that was plugged into the wall, each slot being filled with a separate SD like card. He noticed one of them looked exactly like the chip that Duni gave him. Walking up to it, Don was about to eject it when he heard the door open.
"And what exactly are you doing?"
